4. Never place baby on their stomach to sleep.
“Tummy Time” should always be supervised
while baby is awake and alert.
6. Place baby on their back a firm, tight fitting mattress that
meets safety standards for sleeping.
Remove pillows, quilts, sheepskins, pillow-like soft toys and
stuffed animals and other soft products from crib.
Do not place baby on water beds, sofa, soft mattress, pillow or
any other soft surfaces.
Consider using a sleeper or other sleep clothing instead of a
blanket for sleeping. Ensure baby’s head remains uncovered
while sleeping.
Do not over dress or overheat a baby
7. Do not use wedges or blankets to prop babies while sleeping
Babies can roll into sides and suffocate.
8. Avoid Co-Sleeping as it increases the risk for:
SIDS
Suffocation
Injury from falls
13. Make sure all child caregivers are aware of putting
