Athletes and fitness enthusiast alike have known for many years the importance of adding nutritional
supplements to their diets. In order to maintain a competitive edge we must continue to look for
ways to enhance our body's performance and recuperative qualities. Even for the individual
disciplined enough to follow an eating program based on five, six or sometimes even seven small
meals a day, that emphasizes high protein with moderate carbohydrates and fats, we know that there
can still be deficiencies in this regimen that can detrimentally affect performance.
PROBLEM: One major obstacle, the supplement industry has never overcome its effect of the body’s
digestive system on the supplements we take. Keep in mind the human body is constantly striving to
achieve balance, so if you ingest supplements, or food for that matter, at a time when your body does
not need them it will simply and effectively discard them! Most people, short of analyzing their own
blood on a daily basis, do not have a clue as to what time of day their body may be in desperate need
for a "supplement fix".
SOLUTION: In the 1970's a new system was devised for delivering a variety of pharmaceuticals to
the body. This new system could release it payload for a sustained period of time, and also target
specific sites within the body! By design this new technology would be the perfect vehicle for
transporting nutritional substance into the human body. Unfortunately nobody thought of this
application.
In 1996 a group of people formed the company Vita-TRP Corp. the primary founders of the company
David F. Miller Ph.D., Ian J. Reynolds MD, were inspired while working on medical research and
conceived the idea to use liposomes to deliver nutritional substances to the human body. These
liposomes as described above are the perfect vessels to deliver a nutrient to the body. After extensive
research Vita-TRP Corp., was awarded the patent to utilize these liposomes to deliver nutritional
substances. We at Vita-TRP Corp. are extremely proud of these products we are introducing to the
market place, and we believe you will find their performance to be far superior to anything on the
market today.
The Science behind our products. Up to 85% of most other manufacturer nutritional supplements
products are destroyed by stomach acid when take. The Vita-TRP brand of products in contained
within a liposome which prevents the acid in the stomach from destroying our product. A liposome is
a microscopic layer made of phospholipids; the same thin biological cell membranes are made of.
These phospholipid layers arrange themselves into spheres, due to their inherent molecular structure,
surrounding and encasing our nutritional supplements in a protective covering for delivery to the
body, keeping stomach acid from breaking down our products. Since they are encased in this
liposomal delivery system they pass through the stomach primarily unscathed and can then be
absorbed through the intestinal wall and used in the body as they were intended. The body can then
utilize up to 85% of the amount of the original supplement take, the exact opposite of most other
manufacturer’s products, which are passed through your system as waste products; their nutritional
value and your money go down the drain with their products. Our liposomal delivery system allows
the body to use the supplement for up to 8 hours after ingestion because of the timed release aspect
of the liposome. Since the liposome is physiologically similar to cell membranes, they begin to merge
with those intended cell membranes, delivering their payload, the nutritional supplement, directly to
2. the intended area of the body. Because the delivery is direct the body absorbs at its maximum rate
with the excess remaining in the blood to be used over an extended periods of time when taken in the
correct dosage amounts.
Table 1 below lists the total amino acid assay and the draw period for the first study in which two
subjects ingested a standard whey product while the other two ingested liposome whey.

This was encouraging and provided further impetus for additional experimentation with the liposomal
whey.
Whey Protein - Why is Whey Protein Important?
One of whey proteins most beneficial uses is as an important supplement, used in bodybuilding or
weight training. Whey is abundant in amino acids, which are important in the growth of muscle tissue
and muscle protein synthesis, amongst other uses. For example, the amino acid Leucine is found in
great amounts in whey protein. Leucine benefits the body in the ways mentioned above and it helps to
not only build muscle, but build lean muscle. Whey protein is important to the body in other ways.
