This is a plain 3 tier application with the presentation layer and the business layer written in .NET. The
application is based on a work flow model.

Project Description:-
• Workability is a suite of applications primarily used to generate, manage and adjudicate claims related to
employee leave and absence. It caters to various products like STD, LTD, LOA and FMLA.
• The main application is a web based ASP.NET application written in VB.NET and C# with its database in
oracle8i. This is a plain 3 tier application with the presentation layer and the business layer written in
.NET. The application is based on a work flow model.
• The work flow is generated and processed by a core component known as script engine which is used to
generate different sets of Tasks and questions based on the data set up done for the plan sponsor. The
Metadata is cached in XML format on the web server as part of the application cache. Each instance of
claim is stored in a XML format during and after the data processing.
Responsibility:-
• Design and development of regular business requirement.
• Analysis of the code to identify performance/scalability improvement opportunities like custom tag
validator in mailing, minor tuning in d letter and task generation etc.
• Having sessions with the end users for gathering requirements, doubt clearing and clarifications.
