Local car dealership is set
to reveal a new look
• Southern (Merthyr) Ltd modernise their showroom and service
centre in line with Vauxhall Corporate standards
• RBS supports refurbishment programme and extension to their
car showroom
• Car dealership celebrate their 20th year of trading in Merthyr Tydfil
A refurbishment programme and extension to Southern (Merthyr) Ltd
dealership is underway to accommodate more cars at their Merthyr Tydfil
showroom. The Royal Bank of Scotland has provided £400,000 loan facilities to
bring this project to fruition.
The showroom and service centre on Pentrebach Road will be upgraded and
modernised bringing the dealership in line with Vauxhall Corporate standards. In
addition, an extension to their showroom will allow them to accommodate more new
and used cars which is planned to be ready in time to accept the new September
registration plates.
Established in 1995, Southern (Merthyr) Ltd employs over 38 full-time staff
and last year achieved a turnover of £12 million. This is set to increase once the
changes are in place bringing a new look and increased capacity in the company’s
20th year of trading.
Annie Morgan, Managing Director of Southern (Merthyr) Ltd explains, “We
are really excited about the refurbishment works and look forward to seeing the
finished results which will provide a modern environment for us to showcase our
new and used cars.
