Founded on Innovation, Dexion’s extensive range of Industrial Racking
Solutions are designed to maximise space, productivity and are tested
to the highest international standards.
Industrial Racking Solutions
• Founded on Innovation, Dexion's extensive range of
Industrial Racking and Storage Solutions are designed
to maximise space, productivity and are tested to the
highest international standards.
• Dexion is still at the forefront of innovation in Industrial
Racking Solutions. This is evident with the introduction
of the innovative Dexion 808 racking solution.
• The Dexion 808 was deigned specifically for high-bay
warehouses, automatic shuttle systems and mezzanine
floors.
• The Dexion 808 is light in weight and can reach heights
of up to 60 metres and lengths of up to 200 metres. You
don’t see this type of infrastructure elsewhere unless
we’re talking aircraft or marine construction.
• Prior to the Dexion 808, vertical storage was limited to
approx. 12metres of stacking
Integrated Systems
• Dexion's Integrated Systems combines the latest innovations in software and automation.
Bringing together enterprise systems and materials handling equipment for real time
warehouse management and control.
• At the heart of our Integrated Systems Solution is the Real-time Distribution System (RDS)
platform, RDS is a multi-function control platform that focuses on the physical and
operational aspects of a distribution and materials handling facility.
Integrated Systems - RDS
Commercial Storage Solutions
• Dexion has the complete commercial storage solution. From offices and hospitals through
to libraries and museums Dexion has a solution that will allow you to maximise your valuable
floor space.
• Mobile Art Racks, Agile Lockers with Dynamic Locking systems through to powered
Compactus® and mobile shelving, Dexion has a complete range of commercial storage
solutions that allow you to make the most of your valuable floor space.
An overview of some of our work
Case Study: Kimberly Clarke - Australia
The Brief Streamline Kimberly Clarke’s supply chain from
start to finish by designing the entire materials
storage and distribution handling solution.
The Solution • RDS (Real-time Distribution System)
• Integrated with the client’s other systems;
SAP-ERP, a custom-developed RORO (Roll On,
Roll Off) system, a Vehicle Scheduling system
(TMS), and a SSCC Pallet Label
printing/application system retro-fitted into
the company’s production lines.
• The physical hub of the solution is an
Automated Storage and Retrieval System
(ASRS)
“The system now gives us such a detailed level of information that they are
making micro-adjustments all the time to get the most out of it” Jeff
Steadman National Distribution Centre Manager
Case Study: Linfox Kellogg’s - Australia
The Brief Manage the distribution centre processes with less
manual involvement and more automation,
capable of managing product 24 hours a day 7 days
a week.
The Solution • ASRS enables pallets to be stored in five aisles,
six-pallets-deep on either side.
• Each aisle is serviced by its own automated
crane.
• The ASRS can put away up to 90 pallets per
hour and retrieve 120 pallets per hour.
• A unique feature of the system is the Real-time
Distribution System (RDS) which is the
command and control centre. The RDS drives
the ASRS from a logical viewpoint and
interfaces with the Linfox warehouse
management system, which in turn
communicates with the Kellogg's ERP system.
Linfox has experienced about a 10% reduction in pick error rate with the new system, and product damage has reduced by 85%.
Case Study: Crown Worldwide RM - Malaysia
The Brief Design a solution for a new facility on a
green field site with the capacity to
secure 4 million cartons.
The Solution • A 7-tier, 27-metre high racking
structure
• Maximises the internal building
space, while still providing peerless
document security and access.
One of Dexion’s key tasks was to explore the range of options
available for the different levels of automation and racking
structures
Case Study: UAE Retailer - U.A.E
The Brief Design the most efficient storage and materials
handling solution.
The Solution • Reduce the flat-pack storage areas by 25%
and utilise the GOH (Garment On Hanger)
storage.
• Install VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) Racking
• 36,000 pallet locations and a rack-supported
4-tier GOH solution providing storage
capacity for 3.6 million garments.
• RDS (Real-Time Distribution System) to
manage the logistical aspects
In the case of the DC, which distributes over 1 million items per
week, RDS is instrumental in moving the right items to the right
places at just the right time
Bendigo Art Gallery - Australia
The Brief Design a storage solution that enables the gallery to
store approx. 5000 artworks, including paintings with
frames in a variety of sizes, weights and depths as
well as unusually shaped sculptures and other works.
The Solution • Two single entry bay units of Dexion Longspan
Shelving as well as two Double Entry Bay units of
Ultima Longspan Shelving.
• 18 Flat File Cabinets, each cabinet is 1.4 metres
wide by 9 metres deep and has 5 shelves.
• Mobile Art Racking which includes a mixture of
nested and un-nested art racking using movable
steel
• Multiday Compactus Units – 10 bays long by 5
bays deep
“I found that Dexion aren't just a supplier of product, they sit you down and
give you the opportunity to talk about your plans and your project and
provide feedback” Sandra Bruce, Bendigo Art Gallery’s Collections Manager
