The Problem
Noise is more than just a nuisance!
In Europe over 40% of the population is estimated to be exposed to noise levels that are potentially
dangerous.
The cost to society of noise is estimated at over €42 billion per year in the EU. In England alone the
cost is at least £7 billion per year in the UK.
EU legislation has driven requirements for periodic Noise Audits in the industrial and transport sectors
and in turn requires action plans to be implemented.
Due to the nature of sound waves, current technology cannot perform effectively to reduce noise
levels to legal limits for many applications.
Industrial machines can be enclosed to mitigate noise, but this restricts ventilation causing them to
overheat or require expensive air conditioning.
Road, rail and air links can be isolated by noise barriers, but are expensive and need substantial
space and civil engineering.
The Solution
Sonobex can provide a complete solution to reduce the impact of noise.
We can design bespoke noise barriers that are material independent, permeable to air and light and
trials show sound attenuation up to 22dB(A).
The technology is active over a broad frequency range and is highly efficient as the sound energy is
cancelled rather than reflected back.
The noise barrier is tailored to suit an application for maximum performance.
Our technology eliminates the need for cooling systems.
Lower wind loading – means smaller foundations are needed and improved drainage.
The Role
We're looking for an Interim Business Development Manager to join our team of enthusiastic
entrepreneurs:

We require an individual experienced in business start-up and with a focus on business development
(creating and closing sales opportunities), commercial contracting for manufacturing sourcing and
sales, preferably in the environmental protection sector.
A commitment to 2 days a week for 6 months duration is initially required, but this may be extended
dependent upon
developments over that period of time.
