Cynthia Buenaventura – RN
Graduated from WestVisayas State University (WVSU, Philippines) College of
Nursing March 1988. Passed theRN Philippine LicensureExam sameyear, then
started working as a Company Nurse (OccupationalHealth Nurse) in a
governmentmanaged company fromAugust1988 – July 1991. Worked as a Staff
Nursein a privateowned hospital in the Philippines from 1992- 1999mainly
working at ER, Medical-Surgicaland Pediatrics Dept.
Came to Canada from the Philippines in 1999. Worked firston severalcompanies
and factories non nursing related jobs. Received registration here in Ontario,
Canada as an RN- General Class year 2004.
Firstworked as FT RN charge nurseat a Long Term Care (Lincoln Place Nursing
Home now called Cedarvale Terrace) for 8 months. Then worked at Chartwell
Gibson LTC Centre as FT Evening Shift RN Supervisor then became Assistant
Director of Care for 1 ½ year then became RN Quality Care Coordinator till Sept.
2012. Had received an award for ServiceExcellence 2011 for doing great
performanceas Quality Care Coordinator.
During my work time at Chartwell Gibson LTC, I was already working part time at
Chartwell Woodhaven LTC Centre as RN- Resident Care Coordinator. Also worked
as Nurse Manager at Unionville Home Society fromSept. 2012 – Oct. 2013.
As of present, I am working PartTime Day shift RN Supervisor atthe Providence
Healthcare (Houses of Providence) sincethe last two years and presently working
FT Evening shiftRN- Building Supervisor (ResidentCareCoordinator) at the
Chartwell Woodhaven LTC. Working directly with Christa Servanez RN – DOCas
my direct supervisor.
