n this magazine we tend to focus on the interior
design of homes, usually showing just a small
inset of the exterior. But we got to thinking:
The façade of a house is much like an invitation to a
party—a gauge of things to come. So why not high-
light pretty houses around town that catch the eye
of the passerby?
We jumped in the car and drove…and drove.
Millbank, Round Hill, Shore Road, Lake Avenue,
Clapboard Ridge…we logged lots of miles search-
ing for homes with the coveted curb appeal that homeowner’s favorite
