CONTEXT
It is clear from global developments that we are moving into a radically new era of complexity which demands a very different
approach to how we lead and deal with the world around us. Change and flux are a natural part of the development of our
planet, our society and of us as individuals and with this change comes a new way of being and a new level of awareness. True
leadership must begin within ourselves. As leaders and coaches we are called upon to become role models and help to shape
future leaders.
Sir John Whitmore, at our Conference last November, talked about Leadership into the future and criticised the adolescent
responses we have been getting from our current leaders. Nick Williams invited us as coaches and leaders to 'show up' and
become authentic leaders. He suggested that what we find uncomfortable is often the right way to go forward and that we will
be tested.
Continuing on that theme, this presentation will challenge us; it will move away from traditional leadership competencies and
suggest a new way forward. It will require an open minded approach to exploring how we can shape the leadership of the
future.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Corina will share her insights into how leaders who are best placed to lead our organisations, our countries and the people
around them are those leaders that are operating at the highest stage of awareness and adult development. She will discuss
Authentic Leadership and going beyond models of EQ (Emotional Quotient) to SQ (Spiritual Quotient). Her presentation will
discuss the paradigm shifts that are occurring and demanding a qualitatively different approach to how we lead, and some of
the practical ways we can support our coaching clients in reaching those higher stages of development so that they can
effectively lead in these challenging times.
