Company and Target Market
 M&M's are "colourful button-shaped chocolates", each of which has the letter
"m" printed in lower case on one side, consisting of a candy shell surrounding
a filling which varies depending upon the variety of M&M's. M&M’s are owned
by Mars Incorporated. Mars, Incorporated is an American global manufacturer
of confectionery, pet food, and other food products and a provider of animal
care services, with US$33 billion in annual sales in 2015. It was ranked as the
6th largest privately held company in the United States by Forbes.
 The target market is appealing to anyone in general above the age of 15 due
to the humour used in the advert.
Mis-en-scene
 Setting: The setting is in the upstairs bedroom of a stereotypical modern day
American house. This is important as it makes sense with the tone and theme
of the advert and goes along with its humour.
 Costume: The man in the advert is wearing business wear to make it appear
as though he's returned home from work and his wife is wearing lingerie type
clothing to appear as though she is having an affair with the M&M.
 Props: A prop that they used was two giant M&M’s in the advert who would
portray the other 2 characters in the advert.
 Lighting: The lighting is a mix between bright and dark, its not very bright but
not dark enough so you cant see what's happening.
Shot type.
 The ad opens up with a long shot of the man about to open the door and then
transitions between him and his wife on the bed with a mid range shot then
the ad ends with a close up of the woman and the M&M on the bed. And in the
final scene the camera does a long shot of the room with the yellow M&M
coming out the closet to say “pssst scots home early”.
