FAMAT was founded on April 15, 1981.It is located in Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique) in France.
The company is the result of an agreement between General Electric (U.S.A.) and Snecma (France).
FAMAT is a jointly-owned production facility, specializing in the manufacturing of high technology
frames and structural assemblies for aircraft engines produced by these two major engine
manufacturers.
FAMAT builds some major structural parts for commercial engines produced by GENERAL ELECTRIC
and SNECMA to equip AIRBUS aircrafts, and BOEING aircrafts and shortly, COMAC aircrafts.
