More about automation
We are currently supporting three ways to produce PDF files
starting from a plugin:
✔
send a REST API request to our servers containing plugin
identification and your dynamic data (usually as an XML node)
and receive back an PDF or a comprehensive error message if data
is incomplete
✔
host Engrapho printing server on your infrastructure and call the
API functions locally. In this case, you will download and install
the plugin on your servers.
✔
upload your data as Excel files and download the documents,
either one by one or as an archive

Document automation – stepbystep
✔
define a data model (XML) describing all financial instruments to
be supported
✔
analyze the structure of the document for each instrument type
and identify common sections, as well as sections that vary
✔
implement the document structure using our scripting language in
a single template
✔
produce test cases for all instrument types and features (XML
files) and test your template implementation
✔
approve template version, produce a plugin and authorize it for
production use
✔
generate internally the XML data from your data sources and call
document generation routines
