EXPERIENCE	 VASCULAR ACCESS STAFF NURSE
St. Louis Children's Hospital, St. Louis, MO	 2012-present
• Place, maintain, and evaluate peripheral venous access on pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient
settings. Manage and maintain peripherally inserted central catheters placed in pediatric patients.
• Use of ultrasound guidancefor placement of peripheral and central intravenous catheters on all ages
of patients.
• Have extensive knowledge on placement, maintaining, care, and repair of all central venous catheters.
• Complete an evidence-based nursing research project and present a poster at the Perspectives in
Pediat-rics medical conference in May 2014.
PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT STAFF NURSE

State of the art Level I trauma center and Top 5 Pediatric Hospital. Responsible for the care of one to two
critically ill pediatric patients in a 30 bed unit.
• Assess, plan, manage, and record care of a variety of critical patients including trauma, medical, and
surgical patients. Respond and assist in all code situations.
• Start IVs, administer medications, assist with sedated and non-sedated procedures, closely monitor all
basic and advanced vital signs including ICP, CPP, BIS, EEG, PiCCO and NIRS monitoring.
• Maintain a family centered care approach to all patients and families. Work with a wide age range
beginning with infants and ending with young adults.
