To contribute to the vehicle market surveillance and in-service conformity tasks including the
preparation/execution of experimental testing campaigns having the objective of monitoring the latest
models of passenger cars to check their compliance with the current emission legislation. Depending
on the results of these tests contribute to their publishing, as reports and scientific publication, as
information to the public as well as used to assess the robustness of the new Real Driving Emission
tests procedure.
Specifical activities and responsibilities:
• Carrying out the on-road/laboratory emission testing campaigns carried out in the context of the
vehicle market surveillance and in-service conformity activities including vehicle preparation and
vehicle driving.
• To manage the validation of the test results.
• To contribute to the reports summarizing the findings of the experimental activity.
• To contribute to the technical development of the VELA (Vehicle Emission LAboratories) in order to
maintain them on the front-line
