2. Membertou Sports Arena
Location: Membertou, NS
Start Date: November 2014
Client: Membertou First Nation
This New 105,000 sqft arena is scheduled to break ground in
September of 2013. This arena will house two full size ice surfaces.
The main surface will seat 1500 people. This building will utilize
geothermal heating and cooling as well as the Kube Solutions
system for Ice making.
Budget = $18 million
Membertou K-6 School
Location: Membertou, NS
Start Date: March 2013
Client: Membertou First Nation
Construction of this school started in March of 2013. This is a
concrete tilt-up construction which will house state of the art
teaching equipment. Grand opening September of 2014
Budget = $8.4 Million
Membertou Business Centre #2
Location: Membertou, NS
Start Date: September 2012
Client: Membertou First Nation
This business centre was completed in February of 2013 with the
Cape Breton District Health Authority establishing a Heart and Lung
clinic within this building. This building has spaces for retail and
business tenants.
Budget = $3 million
Hampton Inn Hotel
Location: Membertou, NS
Start Date: October 2010
Client: DP Murphy Inc. & Membertou First Nation
This new hotel opened in April of 2012 and contains 135 rooms
with one deluxe suite on each floor. The building was
constructed with concrete using tilt-up concrete panels. One of
the main features of this hotel is its connection to the
Membertou Trade and Convention Centre by way of a pedway.
Budget = $12 million

3. Membertou Heritage Centre
Location: Membertou, NS
Start Date: April 2011
Client: Membertou First Nation
The Membertou Heritage Centre is a 5000 sqft building that
houses artwork and artifacts relating to the Mi’kmaq Heritage.
There is a display theatre, an elder’s chamber as well as a gift
shop featuring Mi’kmaq crafts.
Budget = $2 million
Indian Brook K-8 School
Location: Tobique NB
Start Date: June 2010
Client: Indian Brook First Nation
This is a new 26,802 square foot K-8 School to be built in the
community of Tobique New Brunswick. This tilt-up building meets
the new standards in building longevity. This facility will house state
of the art classrooms and be built with attention to being green in
design

Tobique Health Centre
Location: Tobique NB
Start Date: December 2009
Client: Tobique First Nation
This is a new 8,202 square foot health centre in the
community of Tobique New Brunswick. This tilt-up
building meets the new standards by Health Canada in
First Nations Health Centres.
Budget = $3.1 million
Indian Brook Family Services
Location: Indian Brook NS
Start Date: August 2009
Client: Nova Scotia Children and Family Services
This is a new Children and Family Services centre in the community
of Indian Brook, Nova Scotia.
Budget = $1.8 million

4. Membertou Commercial Centre

This is a new 35,000 square foot building that will house
commercial business as well as retail space for the local
community.

MacIntyre Buick Cadillac Chevrolet Addition & Renovations
Location: Sydney NS
Start Date: 2011
Client: MacIntyre Buick Cadillac Chevrolet
This automobile dealership added a large showroom and an extra
garage bay. Extensive renovation took place to match the old with
the new.

We’koqma’q Health Centre
Location: Waycobah NS
Finish Date: July 2009
Client: Waycobah First Nation
This is a new 7,200 square foot health centre in the
community of Waycobah Nova Scotia. This tilt-up building
meets the new standards by Health Canada in First
Nations Health Centres.
Budget = $2.9 million
Indian Brook P-12 School
Location: Shubenacadie NS
Finish Date: Sept 2008
Client: Indian Brook First Nation
Opening for the 2008-2009 school year, this facility is a state of the
art school, which houses students from Primary to Grade 12. Util-
izing technologies such as smart boards and computers in every
class room as well as housing a Cultural Performance Arts Centre
has shown to be a great benefit to students and the community.

5. Paq’tnkek Health Centre

Client: Paq’tnkek First Nation
This is a new 6,000 square foot health centre in the
community of Paq’tnkek Nova Scotia. This tilt-up
building is the first health centre to meet the new
standards by Health Canada for First Nations Health
Centres.
Budget = 1.6 million
Membertou Entertainment Centre
Location: Membertou NS
Finish Date: April 2006
Client: Membertou First Nation
Opening in Early 2006 this multipurpose facility features a state of
the art Bingo centre along with VLT rooms, full concession
counter, ticket booths and administration offices.

Membertou Trade and Convention Centre

This facility is a world-class convention centre. There are
two large banquet rooms, a full service-catering centre, gift
