Degree Collection GRADUATION PROJECT, Knitwear I am driven to create artwork through sketching, painting, and photography. I love colour, texture and pattern. I specialized in Knitwear design taking Japanese influences for my final collection. From 1 month in Japan. I travelled from Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Okinawa and many other remote places. I also took inspiration from the book “Memoires of a Geisha”. My collection was based on the Kimono style dress. East meets West; The collection consisted of 6 dresses. A western style of the Kimono dress, tailored to fit the body, short, low cut with skinny belt with each dress getting longer, more cylindrical like the style of a Geisha Kimono. Each dress had a stylized pattern to represent each place. Tokyo was the designs for Western dress and Kyoto for the most Eastern.
