Strategic asset allocation
•	 Integrate asset allocation with trust, tax and estate
planning.
•	 Analyse investments within legal entities and by
beneficiaries to align with estate planning goals.
Tactical asset allocation
•	 Seek to enhance long-term performance by taking
advantage of temporary market dislocations.
•	 Adjust asset class weightings relative to the
strategic asset allocation to avoid undue volatility.
•	 Take into account the effects of taxation and
transaction costs before any adjustments.
Portfolio construction
•	 Create portfolios using a combination of specialist
managers who complement one another with
minimal overlap.
•	 Perform “look-through” analysis on portfolio,
designed to maximise diversification.
•	 Establish a funding plan that reflects market
conditions, client preferences and potential tax

affiliated and unaffiliated investment managers
who have been vetted by a rigorous qualitative and
quantitative due diligence process.

addition to ETFs and direct investments to form
