Essay:
I would like to nominate Catrina Hart for the 2011 Diamond
Employee of the Year. Catrina possesses a passion for her position,
exemplifies teamwork and her ultimate goal is always protecting the
interests of AIT, while treating all vendors and internal customers in fair and
respectful manner. Over the past year, Catrina has distinguished herself
among all of the Accounts Payable and Accounting Services employees.
She has taken her postion to the next level by displaying her leadership
sklills through problem solving and acting as a liason between AIT's
network of cartage agents and the ASC team. Without prompting,
Catrina has taken on the role of coordinating training between cartage
agents and AIT's ASC training team. This training for the agents will provide
them with the tools to view payment information for themselves in the
ASC, without having to contact the Accounts Payable group. The result of
this training will greatly improve productivity for the entire A/P team by
eliminating or reducing repetitive agent inquiries. Again without
prompting, Catrina has also taken on the role of Quick Check team lead
by providing direction and procedures to the AIT user community, training
new A/P employees on the Quick Check processes and acting as partner
with IT during the testing portion of the newly installed Quick Check
Project. Last but not least, as the main A/P auditor for Forward Air, one of
AIT's largest vendors, Catrina has maintained that account at an
exceptional level through hard work and communication with the vendor.
In summary, Catrina has taken great strides this year to distinguish
herself and her efforts in the Accounting Services group and is an integral
part of the Accounts Payable team. She is an excellent nominee for the
AIT Worldwide Diamond Award and I proud to present her a potential
candidate.
