RATES and TERMS
Services Provided: I provide paralegal and litigation support services to licensed California attorneys and law
firms on a contract basis, and am fully equipped to provide services from my office. Completed projects can be
delivered in person or by e-mail attachment.
Hourly Rate and Minimum Time:
Hourly Rate – My current rate for paralegal services is $45.00 per hour (for most services).
Travel Time – I bill time for travel to and from your office, and to and from all other locations, at my regular
hourly rate of $45.00 per hour.
Minimum Time – The minimum time billed will be one (1) hour per project.
Rush/After Hours Rate: Additional charges may apply for rush assignments, evening or weekend work. Any
such additional charges will be quoted before the commencement of work. My current rate for rush/after hours
projects is $70.00 per hour.
Costs and Expenses:
Mileage – I bill for mileage for travel to and from your office, and to and from all other locations, at the IRS
standard mileage reimbursement rate in effect at the time incurred (currently 54 cents per mile).
Photocopies – Billed at 10 cents per page, for the first 1,000 pages during a weekly billing cycle, and 8 cents
per page over 1,000.
Postage, Overnight Delivery and Other Expenses – Billed at actual rate incurred.
E-Filing in State and Federal Court – Billed at actual rate incurred.
Billing and Payment Terms: I bill on a bi-monthly basis as follows: On the 16th day of every month (for
services provided from the 1st to the 15th), and on the 1st day of every month (for services provided from the 16th to the
end of the previous month). Invoices are due and payable on a ‘net 10 day’ basis. Invoices are sent via e-mail to the
person you designate to receive them.
I operate under the fictitious business name (DBA) of ‘Catherine Amante Legal Services.’ My Federal Tax
Identification number is 45-0645903. Prior to my initial assignment with your firm, I will provide you with an IRS Form
W-9 (“Request for Tax Identification Number and Certification”). Please make checks payable to ‘Catherine Amante
Legal Services’ and mail to 22245 Anthony Drive, Lake Forest, CA 92630.
