Casper Fibæk was a member of the organizing team for the 3rd FIG Young Surveyors European Meeting held in Sofia, Bulgaria in May 2015. Specifically, Casper contributed to preparing the meeting program. The organizing committee put together a wide range of dynamic activities through workshops, discussions, and presentations to cover challenges and developments in surveying. Their hard work made the meeting, which brought together 50 young surveyors from over 20 countries, a success.

The 3rd FIG Young Surveyors European meeting was held on 16 May 2015 and was a subevent of the FIG Working
Week. The meeting was jointly organized by FIG Young Surveyors Network (FIG YSN) and supported by FIG, the
Comité de Liaison des Géomètres Europèens (CLGE) and FIG Foundation.
Casper Fibæk was member of the organising team contributing specifically in the task group ‘Preparation of the
Programme’. As Young Surveyors Network we are very proud on the work of the organising team. The team worked
in their own time on the tasks in close contact with other Young Surveyors throughout Europe. The organizing
committee put together a program with a wide range of dynamic activities. The meeting covered different aspects of
our vision, challenges and developments in our future, through workshops, group discussions and presentations.
They took care of the logistics, promoted the event through different channels and made sure the event was
financially stable. By their input, ideas and hard work they made this meeting a success.
The Meeting in Sofia brought together around 50 young surveyors and professionals from over 20 countries. They all
had different cultural backgrounds, surveying traditions and varying professional experience. This event is of major
importance for Young Surveyors to be informed on their national associations activities within FIG and in promoting
the activities of the FIG Young Surveyors Network. Casper Fibæk contributed to this and we hope he will continue to
do so with the support of the Danish Association of Surveyors.
