Students Help the Rebranding Of School Station with
Prizes
TERRE HAUTE, IN November 14th 2013 – Indiana State students gearup to promote and showcase the
rebranding of the campus radio station.Students in the Communication Department will be in the Hulman
Memorial Student Union on December 5th and 6th to survey current students and faculty about the new WISU
station.
The students are part of the Public Relations class instructed by Ms. Jennifer Mullen, who wanted her students
to get a grasp on real life public relations work. “This really gets the students hands-on with what they will be
doing further into their careers,” Ms.Mullen said. “It is important that we give these career-driven opportunities
to the students.”
Student surveys will be going on in the HMSU for the 5th and 6th of December throughout the two days,where
the students can also sign up to win prizes, including stereos,to listen to the newly-rebranded WISU 89.7 FM.
WISU-FM broadcasts at 89.7 megahertz from the campus of Indiana State University in Terre Haute. WISU
offers alternative rock, urban music, sports,and news and public affairs programming. WISU are a
noncommercial station licensed to ISU’s Board of Trustees by the Federal Communications Commission. WISU
is staffed and operated by students at ISU
