2. Positive sides of our environment We will begin by presenting three positive things about our local environment.

Eskilstuna’s wetlands Eskilstuna’s wetlands are used to purify the water from our drains Before the water goes out into the wetlands, it’s purified at Ekeby Wastewater Treatment Plant where it has gone through three different steps This is very good as no chemicals or resembling materials are used during the process in the wetlands
4. Waste sorting In Eskilstuna we have plastic bags in different colors Each color represent a type of garbage for our households One example is that the green bag represents food, and yellow stands for paper This makes it easier for us to sort our wasting
5. Our buses The buses in Eskilstuna run on a gas called bio gas Bio gas mostly made of organic waste materials This is an environmentally friendly way of transportation in Eskilstuna
6. Negative sides of our environment We will continue with three negative issues about our local environment.
7. Toxic waste Eskilstuna is an old industrial town Before we cared about our environment as we do today, the waste from the factories were not taken care of Therefore there is a lot of toxic waste in the ground in and around Eskilstuna today But we are working to take care of it
8. The public transport The public transportation in Eskilstuna could have been better. We should have more buses available so individuals can take the buses, instead of their cars.
9. The River The River that flows through our Town, could be more clean. It is like a garbage dump for some people. We should make people aware of the damage they causing to the nature.
