Internalization is a miracle.
The experience of the present.
4243 Like Water In Water
The landscape constantly changed.
A stream of hot air spouting from the place where choc had been
silence for years.
There was a sensation that the earth orbits slowly, like a sheet that is
rearranged, in slow-motion.
A thick slow liquid. The kind that allows one to stand upon it but never
in a fixed place, always in motion.
You place your head in one location and wake in another.
A living scenery. [A living landscape. / An incarnate setting.]
A lake was born and immediately told a story, an ancient story of steam
and winds. A refined delicate narrative that echoes inconceivable
violence and eventually a silence of blood.
A silence of a new beginning.
The water were utterly clear. Clear to nonexistent, the light piercing
trough them without inhibiting perception of reality in any manner.
A slight vapor that assumed and relinquished forms rose form them.
Those who went into the water did not want to come out. Were
inspired.
Those who did not enter, patiently awaited their turn.
One of the things that tickled in conversations were memories. [One
of the things that made one laugh in conversations, were memories.]
How absurd they were. Everyone knew that they were based upon
truth, and nonetheless they all reeked from cracked dubiousness.
The laughter rolled with love that comes from identification, but also
detachment, whatever will come. Thank God.
The warm water were received as a gift from the land, the one who
once again came to be compassionate, to love the creatures walking
upon it, to care, to accommodate, to listen. To tune herself according
to the needs of the walking creatures.
The conversations were always positive, euphoric, but quiet, reaching
insights that led to decisions that led to the joy of the new thought, one
that will evolve to a whirl, which will create a movement to the abys.
In these conversations the beauty rested in the simple fact that no

There was one subject no one brought up.
Phrasing would have to involve containing the scope of the horror of
the other, and that was impossible.
A sweeping disaster. All-embracing. Horrific. Conclusive. Without
survivors. Band by sanity. Endangering the dangerous. Building upon
the destroyed, encompassing itself in its own nonexistence.
Clearly this was good for all the rest.
Clearly one does not talk about it.
Miraculously, beyond the catastrophe… disturbing thoughts of death
were none.
Wakeful conversations about conscience did, indeed, occur.
Discussions regarding self-improvement.
Of the burden of the lack of burden.
Of efficiency and inefficiency.
Non-time.
Gazing. The possibility of the present, the sanity of the extremist
hastening to slow down.
Obviously there were idle conversations as well, some replete with
moments of wordless bliss.
They were not insignificant due to their own triviality, but because
of their sheer lightness, the ring through which the soap of thought
travels blowing impossible bubbles of vividness and insight.
There were silences too.
Conversations filled with silence.
A group sitting on the floor in silence.
It is not that one was afraid of articulating, it is not that there was a
lack of things to say, the wild beauty simply paralyzed.
Verbalism disintegrates to the ground to dust that dissolves in sweet
water and consonants, vaporizes in endless wonder.
There was no longer the need for courage to ask a question that
involves no answer.

Everyone remembers it differently. One remembers a kind of
particularly long oppressive heat, and another recalls an era of
blossoming. She remembers one clear catalyst and he remembers her
impossibly beautiful.
Everything happened simultaneously.
Quiet conversations about a large noise. (The smiles are always
humble since then, and yet gigantic.)
“Mother, what is behind this? Is it true that there are dead there?”
“No, my beloved, there are no dead there.”
“But they say there is the disease there.”
“No, my beloved, there is no disease there.”
“Everyone says one should not climb it, that there is a bad smell there.”
“No, my beloved, there is no bad smell there.”
“But mother, how can it be, I was told that all who has looked from

That day there was a great tremor along the mountainside. A sense
of gathering around a single point that will spread over the entire
universe. For an instance, everything will be there. Everything.
They will poeticize it. [It will be poeticized.]

Winds of decision, perfect sentences circumventing a foundational
moment. Proud sails upon a wind ready to deliver to the shore.
Tremendous excitement.
Wavesofconversationsfrombacktofront.Backtofrontconversations.
Gathering to circumvent the end. This is not an end, this is a pause.
PAUSE.
This is just a pause, no more.
Crying would be heard every now and then, in very high frequency. It
was a good cry.
The soundtrack of collective heartache. [The soundtrack of collective
sorrow.]
Everyone cried the same cry, sided with compassion.
The gate of compassion was opened, a large gate, and everyone
passed through it.
Voices rose high, ululations without discordance. Rose to a place of
aspiration, for something new.

The sun slowly acquired her orange-ness, on her way to vanish,
a chill wind swept from the mountain, caressing.
We came from an inanimate state and we shall return to
an inanimate state. Life is but a nullified moment, a tinny
stripe,thedefinitionofalmost,alineseparatinganeternity
from eternity. A single comma in a sentence that was never
underway. A grain of white sand in a black beach.
A baby’s crying woke the valley up. The old man laid down the
stick and gathered the baby to his lap.
What are you trying to say? asked the baby’s mother that we
are insignificant? [“that we don’t matter?”]
Insignificantinwhoseview?”[“don’tmattertowhom?”]asked
the old man while gently stroking the perturbed baby’s head
with his enormous hand. To each other, first of all. Answered

The baby hushed and smiled, came down from the old man’s lap

is unattainable and can be expressed neither in thought nor
speech. In the pictorial sense, which goes beyond the limits and
limitations of conceptual language, there is nothing mystical
here, simply a different manner of knowing — a perception that
originates from open and experiential observation of the world
as is.
“What we cannot speak about we must pass over in silence,”
says Wittgenstein.3
“For thought is a bird of space, that in a cage of words may
indeed unfold its wings but cannot fly,” responds Kahlil Gibran.4
Yes, there are things that one cannot speak of, but one most
certainly can think and paint them. Here lies the power of the
picture, which melts and breaks through the cage of words
bringing us to a new world. The image of the walking gorillas
outlines an existential serenity (that tends to be translated in
human experience as pessimism) threaded with thin optimism.
It is another kind of realism, different, surprising. This realism,
which is beyond concept and judgment, does not argue with
reality, does not attempt to correct or alter it — does not deliver
some message; nonetheless, still awakens within us a feeling
that allows conceptual thought to open up towards this serenity.
And in the blink of an eye we are already in, and we are invited
to join them and discover.

There is philosophy, there is the philosophy of: of economics,
biology, science, art.
And there is art that is philosophy.
There are moments in which a picture exists the realm of art and
becomes philosophy.
The picture of the walking gorillas is like that.
This image depicts a world innocent of human existence, and
surely from the perception of human existence as the crown of
creation without whom the world does not exist/has no validity.
A world innocent of human existence relinquishes along the
way conceptual-judgmental thought leaving only the primal
experiential thought of the whole: the pictorial thought.
Conceptual thought is by nature linear-causal, one-
dimensional, in a subject-object structure, and therefore is narrow
and limited, and consequently definitive and judgmental; thus,
its world is also linear-causal, one-dimensional and definitive,
narrow and limited.
Wittgenstein expresses it well by stating the limits of
language are the limits of the world.1
In juxtaposition, pictorial thought, which is not imprisoned
by concepts, and is free from the linearity and conclusiveness the
conceptimposes,isanopen,inclusive,circumventive,experiential
and flowing thought, and therefore can soar to all directions,
to penetrate all depth. Its world, accordingly, is likewise open,
inclusive, experiential, flowing, rich — it is reality as is.
Indeed, Wittgenstein had to admit: “There is indeed the
inexpressible. This shows itself; it is the mystical.”2

the mystical in the Western sense: something irrational, which

want to go on walking. They
thought that the “Source of
Many Waters” is the place,
and forgot that the journey
should lead to the discovery of
the destiny of the tribes, and
without destiny there is no
point for the journey. “We are
content with this place.” They
said. “Why should we go on
wandering?” They all sang and
danced and prayed to the god:
“This is your home, this is your
dwelling place, this place will
magnify thy name for all
times, we have had enough of
wandering.”
The god heard the prayer
directed toward Him, He was
infuriated because He sensed
the repetition of the same old
story: they stop on the way
and forget they have to go on,
because you should not stop
before you find out the purpose
of the journey. At night, the
thunders roared and the
lightening flashed, and in the
morning the “Source of Many
Waters” transformed from a
place of life to a mass cemetery.
Those who survived walked
away from it. Perhaps in the
end they will discover their
true destiny. Now it is clear to
them that a journey does not
stop on the road, even if it is
beautiful, and perhaps now
they are reconstructing the
commencement of all roads.
This time they no longer
wandered as tribes, but each
individual carved his or her
own way.
The Myth of the Moon-navel People Nahum Meged The Myth of the Moon-navel People Nahum Meged
Somewhere at the place of
origin, the tribesmen sat, as
a songbird rose to one of the
treetops, and commenced her
chant and chirrup. Her song
lasted for many days, always
repeating that single word
“onwards”. The tribesmen
chief heard the song, and
realized that through the
bird the decree of divinity was
transmitted, commanding the
tribes leave their concealed
location, in order to migrate
to another land. Only there,
in the other land, could they
fulfil their destiny.
The great chief addressed
the other tribe leaders
saying: The voice of the gods,
through the throat of the
bird commands to follow
her, by the decree of the gods
it is clear that the time has
come to leave the familiar
home and homeland in order
to arrive at the other place,
the unknown, awaiting the
tribes.
They wandered far, in four
tribes they headed out, and
the great chief, who had also
become a god, lead all those
who called themselves “The
Moon-navel People”.
It is difficult to know when
the great chief became a god
and the priests spoke on His
behalf. The great chief became
a god, and the god a wooden
statue. The priests and the
people were led by a wooden
statue whispering and marking
the way. And the road was
hard, and many times they
fought other tribes in order to
carve out their way through
the unknown.
One night the wanderers
arrived at the “Source of Many
Waters” that gave shelter to
plants, trees, and birds, and
the birds reminded them of the
song they sang in the dawn of
time.
The god that spoke from the
wood prompted repeatedly: A
wondrous way lies ahead of
us, and only at its end you
will find the purpose of the
journey.
But the tribesmen did not

There was a sensation that the earth orbits slowly, like a sheet that is rearranged, in slow-motion. A thick slow liquid. The kind that allows one to stand upon it but never in a fixed place, always in motion. You place your head in one location and wake in another. A living scenery. [A living landscape. / An incarnate setting.] A lake was born and immediately told a story, an ancient story of steam and winds. A refined delicate narrative that echoes inconceivable violence and eventually a silence of blood. A silence of a new beginning. The water were utterly clear. Clear to nonexistent, the light piercing trough them without inhibiting perception of reality in any manner. A slight vapor that assumed and relinquished forms rose form them. Those who went into the water did not want to come out. Were inspired. Those who did not enter, patiently awaited their turn. One of the things that tickled in conversations were memories. [One of the things that made one laugh in conversations, were memories.] How absurd they were. Everyone knew that they were based upon truth, and nonetheless they all reeked from cracked dubiousness. All-embracing. Horrific. Conclusive. Without survivors. Band by sanity. Endangering the dangerous. Building upon the destroyed, encompassing itself in its own nonexistence. Clearly this was good for all the rest. Clearly one does not talk about it. Miraculously, beyond the catastrophe… disturbing thoughts of death were none. Wakeful conversations about conscience did, indeed, occur. Discussions regarding self-improvement. Of the burden of the lack of burden. Of efficiency and inefficiency. Non-time. Gazing. The possibility of the present, the sanity of the extremist hastening to slow down. Obviously there were idle conversations as well, some replete with moments of wordless bliss. They were not insignificant due to their own triviality, but because of their sheer lightness, the ring through which the soap of thought travels blowing impossible bubbles of vividness and insight.   • 27. 5253 Like Water In Water [4] Gibran Kahlil Gibran (1923) The Prophet , 56. is unattainable and can be expressed neither in thought nor speech. In the pictorial sense, which goes beyond the limits and limitations of conceptual language, there is nothing mystical here, simply a different manner of knowing — a perception that originates from open and experiential observation of the world as is. “What we cannot speak about we must pass over in silence,” says Wittgenstein.3 “For thought is a bird of space, that in a cage of words may indeed unfold its wings but cannot fly,” responds Kahlil Gibran.4 Yes, there are things that one cannot speak of, but one most certainly can think and paint them. Here lies the power of the picture, which melts and breaks through the cage of words bringing us to a new world. The image of the walking gorillas outlines an existential serenity (that tends to be translated in human experience as pessimism) threaded with thin optimism. It is another kind of realism, different, surprising. This realism, which is beyond concept and judgment, does not argue with reality, does not attempt to correct or alter it — does not deliver some message; nonetheless, still awakens within us a feeling that allows conceptual thought to open up towards this serenity. And in the blink of an eye we are already in, and we are invited to join them and discover.   • 28. 5455 Like Water In WaterArt as a Philosophical Text Nina Ramon There is philosophy, there is the philosophy of: of economics, biology, science, art. And there is art that is philosophy. There are moments in which a picture exists the realm of art and becomes philosophy. The picture of the walking gorillas is like that. This image depicts a world innocent of human existence, and surely from the perception of human existence as the crown of creation without whom the world does not exist/has no validity. A world innocent of human existence relinquishes along the way conceptual-judgmental thought leaving only the primal experiential thought of the whole: the pictorial thought. Conceptual thought is by nature linear-causal, one- dimensional, in a subject-object structure, and therefore is narrow and limited, and consequently definitive and judgmental; thus, its world is also linear-causal, one-dimensional and definitive, narrow and limited. Wittgenstein expresses it well by stating the limits of language are the limits of the world.1 In juxtaposition, pictorial thought, which is not imprisoned by concepts, and is free from the linearity and conclusiveness the conceptimposes,isanopen,inclusive,circumventive,experiential and flowing thought, and therefore can soar to all directions, to penetrate all depth. Its world, accordingly, is likewise open, inclusive, experiential, flowing, rich — it is reality as is. Indeed, Wittgenstein had to admit: “There is indeed the inexpressible. They thought that the “Source of Many Waters” is the place, and forgot that the journey should lead to the discovery of the destiny of the tribes, and without destiny there is no point for the journey. “We are content with this place.” They said. “Why should we go on wandering?” They all sang and danced and prayed to the god: “This is your home, this is your dwelling place, this place will magnify thy name for all times, we have had enough of wandering.” The god heard the prayer directed toward Him, He was infuriated because He sensed the repetition of the same old story: they stop on the way and forget they have to go on, because you should not stop before you find out the purpose of the journey. At night, the thunders roared and the lightening flashed, and in the morning the “Source of Many Waters” transformed from a place of life to a mass cemetery. Those who survived walked away from it. Perhaps in the end they will discover their true destiny. Now it is clear to them that a journey does not stop on the road, even if it is beautiful, and perhaps now they are reconstructing the commencement of all roads. This time they no longer wandered as tribes, but each individual carved his or her own way. The Myth of the Moon-navel People Nahum Meged The Myth of the Moon-navel People Nahum Meged Somewhere at the place of origin, the tribesmen sat, as a songbird rose to one of the treetops, and commenced her chant and chirrup. Her song lasted for many days, always repeating that single word “onwards”. The tribesmen chief heard the song, and realized that through the bird the decree of divinity was transmitted, commanding the tribes leave their concealed location, in order to migrate to another land. Only there, in the other land, could they fulfil their destiny. The great chief addressed the other tribe leaders saying: The voice of the gods, through the throat of the bird commands to follow her, by the decree of the gods it is clear that the time has come to leave the familiar home and homeland in order to arrive at the other place, the unknown, awaiting the tribes. They wandered far, in four tribes they headed out, and the great chief, who had also become a god, lead all those who called themselves “The Moon-navel People”. It is difficult to know when the great chief became a god and the priests spoke on His behalf. The great chief became a god, and the god a wooden statue. The priests and the people were led by a wooden statue whispering and marking the way. And the road was hard, and many times they fought other tribes in order to carve out their way through the unknown. One night the wanderers arrived at the “Source of Many Waters” that gave shelter to plants, trees, and birds, and the birds reminded them of the song they sang in the dawn of time. The god that spoke from the wood prompted repeatedly: A wondrous way lies ahead of us, and only at its end you will find the purpose of the journey. But the tribesmen did not
