Technical Skill Improvement
Cameron exceeded my expectations in the professional manner in which he conducted himself at work.
He could always be relied upon to perform work with minimal guidance and was willing to use self directed
learning tools to expand his knowledge associated with the tasks he was asked to perform. He could be
relied upon to work at different sites as the work required and always worked well with other team
members. Of particular help was his analysis of the wiring at the Overbrooke TS as part up the station
upgrade occuring.
This was an incredible, eye-opening field experience that has helped me tremendously in developing a
greater understanding of the workings of hydro one and the transmission and distribution field. I have
gained an overwhelming amount of knowledge of the inner workings of hydro one and its part in the
transmission and distribution grid. Specifically, I have gained a large amount of knowledge on the
equipment used in protection and control and am amazed to be able to see it in action on site. I spent a
large amount of time learning the hydro one drawing system and sketching/planning process and have a
overall better understanding to date. I am extremely grateful to have been able to have this opportunity
and hope that I will have another chance to learn from such a great team of people in the future. Thank
you.
In the future, I would like to see more field work, such as: commissioning of equipment, trouble call jobs,
etc.
