LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

To Whom It May Concern:
We are pleased to recommend Ms. CaTina White for the Surgical Technician position for which
she is applying. Ms. White has been employed with Virginia Mason Hospital from August 18,
2001 to April 18, 2005 as a Surgical Technician. Ms. White’s job performance was excellent.
She was a valued employee who consistently demonstrated patient focus.
As a Surgical Technician, Ms. White upheld a sterile field using aseptic techniques and always
ensured that the operating room to which she was assigned was cleaned between procedures and
prepared for the next surgery. While employed at Virginia Mason, Ms. White successfully
assisted with many surgical procedures and equipment such as: Laparoscopic procedure, daVinci
surgical system, and Navigation system and was a great asset to our team.
Ms. White holds a Phlebotomy certificate, a certification as a Nursing Assistant; she is licensed
as a Surgical Technician in the state of Washington and meets the requirements of a Health Care
Assistant also here in Washington State. Her job duties as a Phlebotomist and Health Care
assistant allowed her to work as a Medical Assistant in several of our clinics assisting with
breathing test, preparing medication for injections, taking vital signs, obtaining and processing
blood samples, administering wound care, procedural set-up, front and back office duties,
charting, discharging, scheduling, appointments, and handling prescription requests. She also
has experience and knowledge of our hospital computer systems.
Again, we highly recommend Ms. White and believe you would be well served by her skilled
performance and dedications.
