9. John got out of bed excited because he had a big golf tournament today at 1:00 when
John went to get breakfast, still excited, he demolished his bowl of Rice Krispies quickly
so he could get ready.
Later, Join arrived at Powfoot Golf Course with his mum and Gran, who had come
along for a lunch in the clubhouse and to see Joan tee off. He had to sign up and get
his card to keep his score, then went to the driving range to hit some balls to practise.
He was feeling happy and excited because it was his first tournament.
At 1:00, join teed off from the first hall. The ball went right and he thought it was going
out of bounds, but luckily it was an inch inside the poster. Join Recognise quite a few of
his competitors, but this didn't bother him at all because he was feeling quietly
confident and excited.
As Jordan was playing around the course, his game was good. The weather was
perfect. The sun was shining. His friend Mark was playing good as well. George
thought that he was his main competition, but he found out that Mark had been
disqualified due to someone not getting his scorecard signed. Jonville enjoyed his first
competition. Once the game has finished, he had to patiently wait for whoever to find
out the results. Jaune felt nervous at this point.
The results came through on John's phone. He had had a little ruin game. He had come
second place. Not bad for a first competition.
