Chapter 1 General Instruction
1.1 Principle of Laser marking
The laser with high brightness, high directivity and high monochromaticity, and high coherence, general lighting is
unmatched. By focusing the laser beam, can produce high temperature from thousands to ten thousands degrees
at the focal point, making it possible to process almost materials.
Laser marking is that laser beam to engrave permanent marks on the surface of various materials. Marking effect
is according to evaporation of materials’ surface to expose the deep material; or by the action of light, causes
chemical or physical changes on the surface of material to “engrave" traces, display the needed graphics and
texts.
1.2 The feature of laser marking
1) can mark on variety of non-metallic materials,
2) it is non-contact processing, no damage to the product, no tool wear, good marking quality.
3) fine laser beam, low consumables on processing materials, limited heat-affected zone
4) high machining efficiency, computer control, easy to achieve automation.

machinery technology.
The marking machine with high-performance digital galvanometer scanning system, high speed, high precision
and long working life ( with metal tube)
1.3 Brief of Product
TY – G908 laser marking machine with good laser optical mode (M2 < 2), small size, stable and reliable work, free
maintenance, no water cooling system is needed, electro-optic conversion efficiency of the equipment are high, low
energy consumption.good marking quality; PC controls Laser power and frequency , easy to achieve the automatic
marking.
Our company provides professional marking software based on Windows platform. To conduct real-time control of
laser power and pulse frequency. marking contents can be text, graphics, images, serial number, bar code and their
combination, and can be input, edit in the marking software directly, or can be edited in AutoCAD or CorelDRAW
graphics software, and then input or output through computer control.

Chapter2 Operation and Safety Protection
2.1 General Safety instructions
In order to ensure safe operation and optical performance of products, please follow the following instructions and
warnings.
Caution
 It can only be operated and maintain the system after
familiar with all safety requirements and operational
procedure, It won’t be under warranty for damaged equipment
if operational procedure is not followed to operate the
machine.

Warning When using the laser equipment, please be sure that safety ground wires connection.
Caution Please make sure the input power of 220V before the power connection, it may cause equipment
damaged by the error of the input voltage
Warning To prevent electric shock, please do not open the machine cover, otherwise the company will refuse to
provide quality assurance of commitment.
Warning If the operation manual is not followed to operate, this equipment protection will not be able to play
their role.In addition, the instrument can only be used under normal working environment.
Warning Look at the laser output directly is prohibited, protective glass must be wear when operating.
2.2 Laser Type
TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine with 4th generation laser, it will harm human body if misoperation. Operator
should take protective measures according to manual.
The length of invisible laser beam is 1064nm, Avoid eye or skin directly exposed to laser radiation.
Don't try to open the device, any maintenance and service can only be performed by the company authorized
technologist.
2.3 The Harm of Laser
Output of laser is invisible infrared light, even in the case of a deviation from the focal length, it may cause
third-degree burns.
The equipment of the output beam contains visible and invisible radiation. It is Harmful to the eyes. Look at the
laser beam directly is prohibited. In order to avoid the human eye is exposed in the output or reflected beam, all
people must use special safety goggles around machine. it is also prohibited even with goggles.
2.4 Safety Goggles
All people must use safety goggles when around the machine, and ensure the goggles provide sufficient protection
for 1.064 µm beam length.
2.5 Explosion or Fire
Laser marking machine is not suitable to operate in flammable and explosive occasions. Don't be in a volatile solvent
such as alcohol, gasoline and other occasions.
2.6 Electrical Safety
Laser marking machine can be opened by professional technologist only if any issues, there is high pressure which
is easy to harm human body.
2.7 Workshop Tags and labels
“Be careful Laser” sign should conspicuously in the the working area of laser marking machine

Chapter 4 Principle of Laser marking
4.1 Principle of Laser marking
When some materials were motivated, its atoms (or molecules) at a high level than in low level, the distribution of
the material and energy level difference of the corresponding frequency is able to make the radiation. English” laser"
is abbreviation of Light amplification by Divulgate of radiation
Laser is constituent by working medium and pump sources in the closed pump cavity. Compared with other light
source, laser has good monochromatic, good coherence, well directivity and high brightness.
1) Good monochromatic: Ordinary light source includes the wide wavelength range, be the line width, such as the
sun will contain all the visible wavelengths, but laser with single wavelength.
2) Good coherence: Laser beam added together, its amplitude is stable, can keep the light waves before and after
the phase relationship constant for quite a long time, this is can not be reached by any other light source.
3) Well directivity: Ordinary light emission of light shooting, big beam divergence; The angle of laser divergence is
small, generally for a few mill micro
4) High brightness: Laser beam through an optical system (such as lens) focused on a small area, has very high
brightness.
4.2 Brief of Laser Producer
The working medium of the laser can be gas, liquid or solid.Most of the working medium of gas laser is composed of
atoms, molecules or a mixture of both.The working medium of solid state laser is composed of atoms or ions doped
in some crystal.And the working medium of liquid laser by dissolved in the liquid in the large molecular weight
molecules.
Under the condition of a specific pump, all of these working medium can achieve the population inversion, and
generate a certain wavelength of laser output.
Using cladding, parallel pump technology, multiple laser diode coupled to the cladding fiber at the same time, can
obtain higher power laser output.Its basic principle is shown in Diagram 4-1.

Laser marking is the use of high energy laser beam irradiation on the surface of work piece, light turned into heat
energy instantaneously, because evaporation on the surface quickly, thus engraved out text and graphics we need,
to be permanent anti-fake signs.
The feature of laser marking is non-contact processing, can be marking on any of the deformed surface engraving,
no distort on work piece and it is suitable to mark on metal, plastic, glass, ceramic, wood, leather and other
materials.
Laser can be marking on almost parts (such as piston, piston ring, valve, valve seat, hardware tools, sanitary ware,
electronic components, etc.), and can stand resistance, easy to realize automation production

computer controlled scanning motor drive lens to rotate along the X, Y axis, after focusing the laser beam to the
marked on the work piece, thus forming the trace of the laser marks. Its working principle as shown in diagram 4-2.

Chapter 5 Introduction of Equipment System
5.1 Equipment System

2) Co2 laser

4) focusing system;
5) pc control system.

5.2 The laser‘s power supply
TY – G908 laser's power is the device to supply power to Co2 laser, the input voltage is AC220V AC. Installed in the
marking machine control box.
5.3 Fiber laser
TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine adopts pulsed fiber laser, with good laser output and service life is long, which
is installed in the casing of Co2 laser
5.4 the galvanometer scanning system
The galvanometer scanning system is made up of optical scanner and servo control 2 parts.The whole system
adopts new technology, new material, new technology, new working principle, design and manufacturing.
Optical scanner USES the moving magnet deflection works of servo motor. Has a large scanning and peak torque,
The load inertia is great, electromechanical time constant is small, the working speed is fast and it is stable and
reliable. Precision bearing anti-backlash agency provides super axial and radial run out error; "Electronic torsion
bar" replaces the traditional elastic material torsion bar, by doing so greatly improves the working life. Working
principle of the zero power at any position keep both reduced the use of power consumption, and reduce the
heating effect of the device, dispense with constant temperature device; advanced stability of high precise position
detection sensor technology with high linearity and the performance of high resolution, high repeatability, low drift.
An optical scanner can be divided into system scan X direction and Y direction scanning system and each servo
motor shaft fixed on the laser reflective lenses. Each servo motor is made by computer digital signal to control its
trace.
5.5 Focusing system
The role of focusing system is to parallel laser beam focused on the point. Mainly uses the f - theta lens, because
different f – theta has different the focal length, marking effect and scope is different too. TY-G908 Co2 laser
marking machine pause with imported high-performance focusing system. The standard configuration of lens focal
length f is160 mm and effective scanning range Φ is 110 mm. The user can be selected according to need types of

lens.
Optional F - theta lens are:
f=100mm, its effective focusing range is Φ 65 mm.
f=160mm,its effective focusing range is Φ 110 mm.
5.6 Computer-control system
Computer control system is the laser marking machine control and command center, is also the carrier of software
installation. Through the acousto-optic modulation system, coordinated control the galvanometer scanning system
to mark processing.
T TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine computer control system mainly includes a full set of Dell case, motherboard,
CPU, hard disk, memory chips, D/A card, floppy disk, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.
Chapter 6 Equipment installation and debugging
6.1 Equipment installation and position requirements
TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine should be installed in clean and bright indoors. In order to ensure the well
ventilated and maintenance needs, the distance between the walls and other obstacles should keep at least 0.6 m.
6.2 Devanning and check
Only trained operator open the packaging, for installation and debugging.
Pay attention to safety, avoid damaging the equipment and its accessories while opening.
Check the quantity of equipment and documentations according to equipment and spare parts list.
If you find any damage before opening the package or damaged machine parts during the installation process, you
should inform Taiyi company or its authorized agency immediately.
6.3 Equipment installation
6.3.1 Placement
TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine should be put on a flat mesa. The mesa must have enough bearing capacity
and stability, four or six M6 screws will be firmly connected with TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine hosts.
6.4.2 Brief of Marking Software
Generally, User only need to adjust the technical data of “Speed”/ “Power”/“Frequency”
Marking speed: to set marking speed needed.
Power: according to the software to set the rate of power 1%-100% adjustable.
Frequency: according to the software to set the laser output rate 20-100KHZ adjustable.
Software’s operation, please refer to the Instruction of the Marking Software.

Chapter7 Maintenance
TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine is mainly composed of electronics, precision instruments, optical device, the
use of the environment and daily maintenance have higher requirements
7.1 Attention of Maintenance
1) When the machine doesn't work, should turn off marking machine and computer power supply.
2) When the machine is not working, cover the field lens to prevent the dust pollution on the lens.
3) The machine is at work in high pressure state circuit, please don't maintain when it work to avoid electric shock
accidents.
4) This machine with any fault should cut off power supply immediately
5) When the equipment used for a long time, the dust in the air will be adsorbed onto focus lens, at best it will
reduce the power of laser marking effect; at worst cause optical lens endothermic temperature that then burst.
When marking effect is not good, please check carefully if the focus lens' surface is contaminated.
If it is a focus lens surface is contaminated, should take down the focus lens to clean the surface on the bottom.

Focus lens should be take care specially when took down, don't damage or hurt; at the same time, also do not use
hand or other materials to touch the focus lens.
Cleaning method is that mix ethanol (analysis) and diethyl ether (analysis) according to the proportion 3:1, put
long fiber cotton swabs or lens paper into mixture, and gently scrub focus lens surface of bottom, please change
the swab or lens paper each brush on 1 side.
6) In the process of marking machine work, marking machine is not allowed to move, to avoid damage of the
machine.
7) Don't heap or put other items on the marking machine, not to affect the machine heat dissipation effect
7.2 Common Failures and Solution
Due to the use or for other reasons, the TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine may not work. In order to you can
timely judgments and eliminate some simple fault, we list the prone to failure phenomenon and settlement method
for reference.

8. INSTALL THE MACHINE
1. Open the wooden carton and get the machine.
2. Connect the power wire and foot treadle wire at back of the cabinet
9. Marking Operation
1. Turn on ORDER: Main power at back→Power on the cabinet→Computer→Open the marking
software→When printing to press Red Pointer→Scan→Laser.
2. Turn off ORDER: Laser→Scan→Red Pointer→Computer→Power→Main power.

4. Open the software and language exchange
Click here and choose language to English and then restart software we will get English
interface.

colour (black) marking (steel stainless quality), set speed slower, higher power, frequency slower.

7. Click Red light indicator for position and click marking for marking trial first.
(P.S: when doing the marking trial, please adjust the rotary device (lifter) up or down to get the good
marking effect. Fiber line need even and the work piece needs to put flat on working table.)

E: How to get the extra fonts you need in the marking software
1. Download the font you need from Internet onto computer
2. Copy downloaded fonts and Save at My Computer: C:/windows/fonts
3. Open the Marking software and select the downloaded fonts to type the words you need.

Co2 Laser Marking Machine’s Operation Manual 1 Chapter 1 General Instruction 1.1 Principle of Laser marking The laser with high brightness, high directivity and high monochromaticity, and high coherence, general lighting is unmatched. By focusing the laser beam, can produce high temperature from thousands to ten thousands degrees at the focal point, making it possible to process almost materials. Laser marking is that laser beam to engrave permanent marks on the surface of various materials. Marking effect is according to evaporation of materials’ surface to expose the deep material; or by the action of light, causes chemical or physical changes on the surface of material to “engrave" traces, display the needed graphics and texts. 1.2 The feature of laser marking 1) can mark on variety of non-metallic materials, 2) it is non-contact processing, no damage to the product, no tool wear, good marking quality. 3) fine laser beam, low consumables on processing materials, limited heat-affected zone 4) high machining efficiency, computer control, easy to achieve automation. 1.3 products overview TY – G908 Co2 laser marking machine is the high-tech products with laser, computer, automatic control, precision machinery technology. The marking machine with high-performance digital galvanometer scanning system, high speed, high precision and long working life ( with metal tube) 1.3 Brief of Product TY – G908 laser marking machine with good laser optical mode (M2 < 2), small size, stable and reliable work, free maintenance, no water cooling system is needed, electro-optic conversion efficiency of the equipment are high, low energy consumption.good marking quality; PC controls Laser power and frequency , easy to achieve the automatic marking. Our company provides professional marking software based on Windows platform. To conduct real-time control of laser power and pulse frequency. marking contents can be text, graphics, images, serial number, bar code and their combination, and can be input, edit in the marking software directly, or can be edited in AutoCAD or CorelDRAW graphics software, and then input or output through computer control. Chapter2 Operation and Safety Protection 2.1 General Safety instructions In order to ensure safe operation and optical performance of products, please follow the following instructions and warnings. Caution  It can only be operated and maintain the system after familiar with all safety requirements and operational procedure, It won’t be under warranty for damaged equipment if operational procedure is not followed to operate the machine.

Caution Please make sure the input power of 220V before the power connection, it may cause equipment damaged by the error of the input voltage Warning To prevent electric shock, please do not open the machine cover, otherwise the company will refuse to provide quality assurance of commitment. Warning If the operation manual is not followed to operate, this equipment protection will not be able to play their role.In addition, the instrument can only be used under normal working environment. Warning Look at the laser output directly is prohibited, protective glass must be wear when operating. 2.2 Laser Type TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine with 4th generation laser, it will harm human body if misoperation. Operator should take protective measures according to manual. The length of invisible laser beam is 1064nm, Avoid eye or skin directly exposed to laser radiation. Don't try to open the device, any maintenance and service can only be performed by the company authorized technologist. 2.3 The Harm of Laser Output of laser is invisible infrared light, even in the case of a deviation from the focal length, it may cause third-degree burns. The equipment of the output beam contains visible and invisible radiation. It is Harmful to the eyes. Look at the laser beam directly is prohibited. Co2 Laser Marking Machine’s Operation Manual 8 Diagram 6-3 Chapter7 Maintenance TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine is mainly composed of electronics, precision instruments, optical device, the use of the environment and daily maintenance have higher requirements 7.1 Attention of Maintenance 1) When the machine doesn't work, should turn off marking machine and computer power supply. 2) When the machine is not working, cover the field lens to prevent the dust pollution on the lens. 3) The machine is at work in high pressure state circuit, please don't maintain when it work to avoid electric shock accidents. 4) This machine with any fault should cut off power supply immediately 5) When the equipment used for a long time, the dust in the air will be adsorbed onto focus lens, at best it will reduce the power of laser marking effect; at worst cause optical lens endothermic temperature that then burst. When marking effect is not good, please check carefully if the focus lens' surface is contaminated. If it is a focus lens surface is contaminated, should take down the focus lens to clean the surface on the bottom. Cleaning method is that mix ethanol (analysis) and diethyl ether (analysis) according to the proportion 3:1, put long fiber cotton swabs or lens paper into mixture, and gently scrub focus lens surface of bottom, please change the swab or lens paper each brush on 1 side. 6) In the process of marking machine work, marking machine is not allowed to move, to avoid damage of the machine. 7) Don't heap or put other items on the marking machine, not to affect the machine heat dissipation effect 7.2 Common Failures and Solution Due to the use or for other reasons, the TY-G908 Co2 laser marking machine may not work.
