Bringing Sustainability to Sunnyvale Schools
Pollution Prevention Schools Outreach
• Kindergarten & 5th Grade Presentations: 1850 students at 17 elementary schools
reached, positive feedback received from every school
• Schools Goin’ Green: Students at 5 schools collected over 4,000 pounds of litter from
their campuses and the surrounding neighborhoods
IGreenSunnyvale Students Living Green Challenge:
• IGreenSunnyvale download numbers doubled
• 233 students participated in the challenge
creating positive environmental impacts

residents to “buzz” when they have
completed sustainable actions. I
worked with students at five schools
in Sunnyvale to facilitate a
competition inspiring students to live
sustainably.
