FYI re: emails below. I’ve deleted some of the email correspondences between Brian and myself
to keep message brief.
We do have some work on the RTW which Brian has outlined. Aside from the factors mentioned
below, mathematically I think if we had limit the number of ee’s beyond 2 weeks to less than 10
frequencies (instead of 11) and not have Joven Sr.’s incident, we would have had a shot on the
extra 5% reduction. Previous years, I believe we had anywhere between 16-20+ over 2 weeks
(I’ll have to check my file later).
2007 rate: $3.87
2008 rate: $5.06
2009 rate: $4.91 (First year - 5% reduction less balancing factor)
2010 rate: $4.55 (Second year - 10% reduction less balancing factor of 2.89%)

2. Looking ahead…
2011 rate: < $3.87 (assuming 15% NET reduction, or Third Year Reduction of 15% + 5% RTW
less balancing factor).
2011 Actual WCB rate is 3.51 for 2011.
