Employment History
2013 – present
I am currently employed by Interlink / EGA on the TVTC GY Program, Riyadh,
Saudi Arabia. In 2013 I taught at the Institute of Public Affairs, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,
teaching ESL to Saudi public servants. I also taught on an intensive Summer School
ESL program, UK.
2010 – 2012
Tutor at Kip McGrath Tauranga, English and Math.’s from Year. 1 – Year. 13. Also
relief taught at Otumoetai College. From 1/01/2012 I was Owner/Director, Mount
Maunganui branch of Kip McGrath Education Centers.
2008 – 2010
I taught at Tialeniu School, Tokelau. Taught English/ESL, History and Social
Science, Years 7 – 13, mixed ability. I was Syndicate Leader, equivalent to Deputy
Principal. I mentored local teachers, acquired resources, was National History
Examiner.
2000 – 2008
ESL Teacher: South Korea (University), Taiwan (Junior level students; Head
Teacher) and at Waikato University Language Institute, Tauranga, NZ (Adult students
IELTS). Completed Post Grad. Dip. Sec. Teaching, practicums at Bethlehem College
and Matamata College.
1992 – 1999
Seminarian: trained for priesthood, Auckland Diocese, also for the Columban Mission
Society. I was placed on pastoral placement in Chile for two years. I taught
Foundation course in Malaysia preparing young Malaysians for overseas English
medium University study and to take the TOEFL test. I took remedial teaching at St.
Bernard’s College, Lower Hutt.
1990 - 1991
Catholic Overseas Volunteer: teacher at Marist Brothers’ High School, Kiribati.
Taught Math’s and English, coached athletics. Years 9 – 11, mixed ability.

Skills and Abilities
-I have extensive international ESL teaching experience, at all levels: Pre-school
through to University and Adult. I also have taught Academic and Business English
-leadership experience as a Senior Teacher, Syndicate Leader (D.P.) and as Education
Center Director
-IT literate, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Powerboard etc
-speak and able to teach Spanish
-multicultural experience and awareness
-remedial and extension experience
-able to assist in: coaching field events (athletics), swimming, debating and drama
productions.
