Public Relations Intern:
 Responsible for maintaining positive relations with alumni, graduate students, stakeholders,
and internal faculty.
 Developed advertorial flyers, brochures, and social media campaigns which culminated in
several students at Illinois State applying for graduate programs at the Center.
 Worked closely with supervisors to maintain consistency and accuracy of all messages.
 Advocated for the Stevenson Center through newsletters, specialevents, and
correspondence with alumni.
 Regularly drafted news articles on a variety of topics (requires interacting professionally with
students, alumni, faculty, and community stakeholders to solicit and effectively present
content). A large majority of these articles appeared on the Illinois State news front page as
marquee stories.
 Updated website and provided content for social media (Facebook, Flickr, and LinkedIn).
 Created, proofread, and edited advertorial flyers and other collateral.
 Independently interviewed and surveyed current students in order to provide confidential
assessment feedback to staff. Survey responses were used to continue the ongoing success of
the Stevenson Center.
 Marketed, managed applicant files, and served on review committee for endowed study
abroad scholarship.
 Assisted with logistics for special events.
