Public Relations Intern:
Responsible for maintaining positive relations with alumni, graduate students, stakeholders,
and internal faculty.
Developed advertorial flyers, brochures, and social media campaigns which culminated in
several students at Illinois State applying for graduate programs at the Center.
Worked closely with supervisors to maintain consistency and accuracy of all messages.
Advocated for the Stevenson Center through newsletters, specialevents, and
correspondence with alumni.
Regularly drafted news articles on a variety of topics (requires interacting professionally with
students, alumni, faculty, and community stakeholders to solicit and effectively present
content). A large majority of these articles appeared on the Illinois State news front page as
marquee stories.
Updated website and provided content for social media (Facebook, Flickr, and LinkedIn).
Created, proofread, and edited advertorial flyers and other collateral.
Independently interviewed and surveyed current students in order to provide confidential
assessment feedback to staff. Survey responses were used to continue the ongoing success of
the Stevenson Center.
