Conclusions
•Ag Nps exhibit a broad size distribution and morphologies
with highly reactive activity.
•The major mechanism through which Ag NPs manifested
antibacterial properties is by attaching to and penetrating
the bacterial cell wall, and modulating cellular signalling.
•However, further studies must be conducted to verify if
the bacteria develop resistance towards the nanoparticles
and to examine cytotoxicity of a nanoparticles towards
human cells before proposing their therapeutic use.
