This document announces Beverly McFarland's 19th annual summer herbal apprenticeship program, a 3-month course taught outdoors focused on developing a deep understanding of healing plants. The course will provide opportunities to learn directly from the plants and develop inner wisdom, following in the footsteps of ancient medicine people. Upon completion, certificates will be awarded to those who demonstrate skills in applying what they've learned to care for themselves and others. Beverly is a certified clinical herbalist with many years of experience sharing her knowledge.

SUMMER HERBAL APPRENTICESHIP
AN IN-DEPTH INTRODUCTION TO THE HEALING PLANTS
In the time-honored traditional sense, an herbalist was always someone with a deep
connection to the natural world who knew just where to look in garden, forest or field for
the healing plants and how to gather and use these plants with reverence and respect.
This course is offered to 8 apprentices and taught traditionally ~ outdoors with the
plants. It will give you the opportunity to get to know and learn from them directly,
deepening your inner wisdom and intuition.
The ancestors of the plants we study were gathered by the local medicine people for
hundreds of years or more and we’ll be walking in the footsteps of the ancients who
healed with them in much the same ways we do now.
Certificates will be awarded in recognition of the skills you’ve developed in this 3 month
course and your ability to apply them wisely in caring for yourself, family and friends.
Beverly graduated from both Tieraona Low-Dog’s NM Herb Institute and Michael
Moore’s SW School of Botanical Medicine. She’s a Certified Clinical Herbalist, T’ai Chi
Chih Instructor, Workshop Facilitator and Storyteller who has been sharing her
experience for many years.
