How To Know If You Have A Positive Or A
Negative Mindset
The following are some exercise you can use to help you determine
if you have more negative thoughts or more positive thoughts. They
can also help you become aware of your thoughts. You can tally
these up daily, or wait till the end of the week.
White/black rocks
You can purchase these in the craft department, gather your own, or
use checkers if you have a set of checkers. You will also need two
bowls to keep up with your stones.
Each time you have a negative thought, put a black stone in a bowl.
Each time you have a positive thought, put a white stone in a bowl.
At the end of the day compare the totals to find out whether you
have more negative or more positive thoughts.
Money jars
You can use any type of container for this. The purpose of this
exercise is just like using stones except you'll use pennies instead.
Most people have a coin bank full of pennies, so this method keeps
you from having to go out and purchase stones or some other means
of measuring your thoughts.
Chalk board or white board
tally
You can do the same with those little pocket notebooks if you're on
the go a lot. If you'd rather use this method instead of stones or
money, you can simply make marks on paper, a whiteboard or a
chalk board.
Create two columns, one for positive thoughts and one for negative
thoughts.
Use one of these exercises each day until the event to find out
whether or not you have more positive or more negative thoughts.
Defining negative and positive
thoughts.
You may be unsure what constitutes a negative thought. Small
thoughts you think are harmless are often negative in nature.
Examples: Things always go wrong for me.
Isn't that just how things go.
I don't expect any better.
Of course things gone wrong, that's how my life works.
Other thoughts that you may not give much thought to, but can
be positive in nature are:
It's no big deal. Life happens.
Don't worry, I'll take care of it.
It's just a minor setback.
If you view life as a series of events and don't attach negativity to
them, you probably already have a positive mindset. When you look
at life and feel like you're a victim, that bad things always happen to
you, you're most likely a negative thinker and need to work towards
repairing the damage.
All of your thoughts go out into the world as vibrations. You may
think they are harmless, but they are much like a ripple effect when a
stone has been thrown into the water. Once you become aware of
this, you will want to guard and monitor your thoughts more
seriously.
Things like ESP (extra sensory perception) has been played up (or
down) as gifts that only a few people have. The truth is, everyone
has it and every thought you send out has a direct effect on the world
around you, the universe. Someone, somewhere is picking up on
every thought you have, whether they realize it or not.
When you realize that everything and everyone is connected, you
want to make sure that what you send out into the world is as
positive as it can be. You don't want to be responsible for any
negativity in the world...or as little as possible.
It's a huge responsibility and becoming aware is the first step to
being responsible for the cause and effect laws that govern our
world. You want to do everything in your power to change things for
the better.
Doing your part by sending out positive thoughts into the world may
seem small and insignificant, but it can be extremely powerful.
Never underestimate its power and never think that you are only one
individual and can't do much. Your thoughts, all of them, do affect
life as a whole.
I currently have a course running on Udemy, called the Action
Takers Mindset
This course is all about training your mind to become a huge action
taker in your business and your life. Most of us always have some
projects we can't quite finish. It all comes down to good enough
reasons for you to jump in and finish those tasks you usually put to
the side. That is what this training is all about.
We start with the all-important mindset lessons to get you "in the
right place" to move forward. Once we established the right mindset,
we move on to the next step, setting the right kind of goals and
working towards them with the right kind of system.
