CAREER OBJECTIVE
I am very interested in the fields of mathematics and chemistry.Iwould like to pursue a career in chemistry research,
possibly teachingas well. I love problem solving and challenging assignments, including writingmy analysis and
conclusions.
EDUCATION
A.B. Vassar College Mathematics and Chemistry Concentrations 2.8 GPA – American Chemical Society (ACS)
Certificate – Graduation May 2016
EXPERIENCE
Vassar College
Thesis Work in Inorganic Lab under Professor Joseph Tanski PhD 9/2015-5/2016
Analyzed various inorganic catalysts effectiveness on stereoselection of various oximes through wet lab and
computational models. Jaguar was used for electronic stability calculations,NMR and X-ray crystallographywere
used to monitor reactions and determine E/Z ratios.
Research Student in Thayer Lab 9/2014–5/2015
Analyzed thestructureof a P53 bindingdrug via an analogue from the analogue’s X-ray structurebound to P53.
Charge distribution and confirmation werecompared using Gaussian and later with molecular dynamics
simulations
Research Student in Amber Lab with Edith Stout PhD 9/2013– 9/2013
Analyzed a sampleof amber with a known Baltic amber specimen via GC-MS and compiled a databaseof all
relevant peaks of each amber’s data
Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Office of Crisis Management(OCM)
Office Automation Clerk under Office of Commissioner 5/2012 – 8/2012,5/2013 – 8/2013
Involved in the execution and last stages of developing the National Level Exercise (NLE) 2012 for the FDA with
Office of Crisis Management (OCM). I constructed thePlayer Directory as well as helped build the Evaluator
Handbook for this exercise. I worked on the After Action Review of NLE2012 working closely with twoother
colleagues.
Received Office of the Counselor to the Commissioner Leveraging and Collaboration Award for
Collaboration Efforts for 2012 EmergencyExercises
Performed administrativeduties, including editing papers, scheduling, creatingdatabases, and other tasks
Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Research Intern
HHMI STIP intern for the Lab ofHemostatsis 5/2010 – 8/2010
Selected among Montgomery County high school students for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute(HHMI)
internship – only 25 students are selected.
Researched immunogenicity in silica,in vitro, and ex vivofor recombinant drugs usinghemophilia A
(Coagulation Factor VIII Deficiency) as a model.
Another project I worked on was to determine quantities of FVIII in a particular causeof hemophilia A. I gained
hands on experience with ELISA (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay),western immunoblot, silver staining,
DNA plasmid preparation, and DNA electrophoresis.I presented my research in May at a symposium.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Extremely competent with LaTeX, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint,Access and Word 2007, Graph Pad, Pubmed, ISI
Web of Knowledge, Reference Manager 11, Gaussian,Jaguar, Carestream and Image-J immunoblot analyzers,
and NCBI and other gene and protein databases.
Very familiar with IR, NMR, and GC-MS, as well as have a workingknowledge of HPLC, Raman,X-Ray
Crystallography,and IC techniques.
