Ben Taylor is an award-winning screenwriter and film producer based in Atlanta, GA. He has over 17 produced feature films and TV movies to his credit. Taylor founded his own production company, Cape Town Films, Inc., in 1996 and has also published two novels. He teaches screenwriting workshops in Atlanta and previously taught in Austin, TX from 2005-2012.

the award-winning screenwriter of over 17 produced feature

Starring notables such as Julie Bowen (ABC’s “Modern
Family”), Oscar-nominated Lynn Redgrave, Michael Weatherly
(CBS’s “NCIS”), Darren McGavin, Steve Railsback and many
others. Taylor has worked for virtually every major studio,
including Columbia, Warner Brothers, Disney, NBC, HBO, and
Lifetime TV networks.
His published novels include “Affairs” and “Venus and Mars”,
both of which were then turned into feature films for
Columbia Studios and Buena Vista, respectively.
Cape Town Films, Inc. was also the production company behind
Taylor’s feature film directorial debut, “In the Flesh”, shot
in Atlanta, GA and released in 2000.

THE BEN TAYLOR WORKSHOP FOR ACTORS AND WRITERS - Austin, TX,
September 2005 - 2012, Atlanta, GA, 2013 - present. Ongoing
class using original material written by pro screenwriter
Taylor and other class members. Long considered the top
class for advanced film actors in Texas, it sported a 40
person roster each session. Students included Jackson Hurst
(Lifetime TV’s “Drop Dead Diva”), Evan Gamble (“American
Sniper”) and Corina Calderon (the Sundance hit “Bienvenidos
Born”).
During this time, Taylor also worked as a professional actor
with speaking roles in TV’s “Dallas”, “Friday Night Lights”,
“My Generation” and feature films including “Walk the Line”
and “Stop Loss”, as well as numerous national commercials.
