Sean Connery
(Edinburgh, 1930) British film actor who, after gaining popularity
thanks to his incarnations of the secret agent James Bond, later
demonstrated his excellent acting skills in other genres over a long
career. After serving for three years in the navy, he held various
trades and at the age of twenty he attended the Mister Universo
contest on behalf of Scotland. In 1951 he played his first, rather
minor role in the theater; After acquiring some experience, in 1954 he
began to play small roles in the cinema and other more important ones
on television, such as the boxer in the series Requiem for a
heavyweight.
