- Looking at Manukau from Paddocks until the Super City era began in 2010. Why was Manukau founded and built in grass paddocks? Service a new South Auckland, a decentralised Auckland and to service both the new Airport and new industrial complex in Wiri and East Tamaki
- Manukau in 1959 before it was founded by Jim Anderton and Sir Roger Douglas, first mayor and builder was Sir Lloyd Elsmore to be continued by Curtis and finally Brown Airport did not exist until the mid 60’s.
