1. Background:
SUArasa Foods is a food products manufacturing company owned 100 % by bumiputra and
registered since 2015. It is headquatered in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia and focuses on
the production of barbecue sauce which is used to marinate meat produce such as beef and
lamb. Existing product includes BBQ Marinating Sauce (Original) and the next in the plan is
BBQ Marinating Sauce (Spicy). In addition, there was a cooperation with the University
MARA Institute of Technology, Shah Alam to produce BBQ Marinating Sauce (Chokanan
Mango).

Aiming to be among the leaders in the production and marketing of halal food in Malaysia.

Manufacturing and supplying halal food products that meet the taste and dietary preferences
of the local and overseas market.
Objective:
a. Achieving the goals of the National Agro-Food Policy to reduce dependence on
foreign countries by meeting the demand for halal food products in the market.
b. Providing income-generating opportunities for local residents by providing jobs and

2. History:
From a humble beginning in a remote village at Jeniang, Kedah in January 2008, Selera
SUArasa Foods can now be proud with the transformation that the company has undergone.
Started as a fully agricultural company concentrated in goat breeding, it has now diversifies
into meat and spices trading – it has its own meat shop in the second largest town in Kedah
which is Sungai Petani and it also has a catering team which specializes in barbecue
services especially roasted lamb.
Selera SUArasa Foods is simply continuity from the company’s philosophy in providing the
market with best black pepper sauce from its own barbecue services background. Customers
could now experience in their backyard the same sauce that has been used by the SUArasa
Catering Services.
