Sale is a bilateral contract involving the buyer and the seller. Ijab and
qabul are normally expressed verbally using the present or past tense.
However in today's customs, actions also show consent. When the
customer pays for her purchases for a known total price, and the buyer
or the employee for the shopping mall accepts the money and then
issues a receipt, the whole actions are indicators of consent. There is
conformity of offer and acceptance as the price tag offered by the
shopping mall is equivalent to the amount of cash paid by the customer
and it is settled by cash. After the transaction is completed, there is an
exchange of ownership. The items which previously belonged to the
mall is now under legal possession of the customer.

In this picture, there are two types of properties which are tangible
property and intangible property. Laptop and mobile phone are
examples of tangible property. This property can be measured reliably
and can easily convert into cash. There are various types of intangible
properties for these two items such as brand and trademark. The brand
for the laptop is Acer while the mobile phone is Apple. These two brands
are well-known in this world and they have their own trademarks. A
trademark can be a word, symbol or design that distinguishes the
sources of the good or services. When we buy the tangible items we
have ownership over them and can resell them whenever we want while
for the intangible items we can only enjoy the usufruct from them and
cannot duplicate them due to copyright.

If we want to stay in mahallah room , we have to rent a room from the
mahallah office. After renting a room, we have gotten the permission to
stay in the room. It is a usufruct, an abstract and intangible benefit that
is derived from a certain usable property. We do not have any right to
sell the room or rent the room to another person. We also cannot do
extra decisions for example rearranging the furnitures. Mahallah office
only allows us to stay alone in our room. Our friends or parents are not
allowed to stay with us. Usufruct (rental benefit) cannot be physically
possessed as a whole but comes gradually from the corpus of a thing
(mahallah room) and disappears.
