JOB DESCRIPTION OF CURRENTPOST:
 I am currently working in Khyber teaching hospital,Peshawar.Itis a 1500
bedded hospital,which is one of the major tertiary carehospital of the
province.I amworking with one of the units of medical division of the
hospital.Its a 44 bedded internal/general medical unit,I work as a full time
and havean “on call” duty every 4th
day.My “on call” duties include
receiving new patients,clerking of the patients,clinical examination of the
patients,advising appropriateinvsetigations,starting the
treatment,discussing the patients with the consultants on phone if needed
and presenting the newly admitted patients to the “on call” consultant in
the posttake rounds.
DAILY ROUTINEAND CLINICAL SKILLS:
 The duties of my currentpost includes daily morning and evening ward
rounds,presenting thebeds to the consultants along with the plan for each
patient,carrying out postround orders which includes:
 Taking blood samples,passing intravenous lines,performing and interpreting
ECGS,nasogastric tubeinsertions,catheterization of the patients,safety
thoracocentesis,abdominalparacentesis,lumbar punctures,and
administering drugs.
 I have done BLS course( in2014) conducted by CPSP.
 I also attend the weekly clinicopathological conferences meetings,journal
club and teachings.
