Arthur Bauer managed a diversified transportation consulting firm with three major practice areas. The firm provided professional expertise to private firms and public agencies with unique problems in the planning, organization, management and financing of transportation facilities and services. During his tenure with the Senate Transportation and Housing Committee was responsible for developing and analyzing legislation related to the Department of Transportation, public mass transportation, transportation planning, transportation finance, local transportation agencies, the California High-Speed Rail Authority, and similar areas of transportation policy.
