1. ORBIS introduces the HDB1012 BulkPak® heavy-duty
900kg collapsible container system
The HDB1012 BulkPak system was designed to protect and transport
parts in global automotive and industrial applications. Engineered
to emphasize durability, repairability, warehouse and logistic cost
savings due to collapsibility, BulkPak containers provide a robust/
heavy-duty alternative to steel tubs, stillages, wood crates and other
alternative packaging systems.
BulkPak containers are precisely molded to offer the load capacity
of alternative steel tubs, with the benefits of a collapsible,
environmentally friendly, all-plastic reusable solution. By offering
a thick walled, structural foam design, the HDB1012 provides a
heavy-duty weight capacity of 900kg while maintaining a collapsible
sidewall design to maximize return freight savings. Additionally,
the BulkPak container’s patented repairability features provide a
lower total cost of ownership.
The HDB1012 is available in four different heights and multiple
bottom configurations while featuring two-piece ergonomic spring
loaded latches for increased panel and access door security. Access
doors are available in 0, 2 and 4 door configurations for customized
line side delivery and presentation. The BulkPak system offers a
patented panel clip design that eliminates the need for fiberglass
rods to connect panels to base and offers a hot plated welded base
plate for added deck strength while reducing collapsed stack height.
Additionally, molded-in drain holes in the panels, as well as the base,
drastically reduce water build-up during storage while maintaining a
robust, thick-walled design. A variety of identification options are
available, including A5 sized cardholders, label placards and
identification plates. For added value, the HDB1012 BulkPak can be
fully recycled at the end of its long service life.
