3. “IT TAKES NO ACCOUNT OF THE EVIL DONE TO IT
[IT PAYS NO ATTENTION TO A SUFFERED
WRONG].”
-- THE AMPLIFIED BIBLE

US IN THIS: WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS,
CHRIST DIED FOR US.

9. Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how
often should I forgive someone who sins against
me? Seven times?”
“No, not seven times,” Jesus replied,
“but seventy times seven!”
Matthew 18:21-22
14. "while we were yet sinners
Christ died for us”
Romans 5:8b

all sins forgiven.
Therefore, when someone offends or sins against us we
should be willing to forgive him from a heart of gratitude
for the grace to which we ourselves are debtors.
16. We must decide to forgive;
the emotions will follow in time
IS FORGIVENESS A CONSCIOUS CHOICE,
OR AN EMOTIONAL STATE?

Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Colossians 3:13

25. HOW DO I KNOW WHEN TO APPROACH
SOMEONE, OR WHEN TO JUST FORGIVE THEM?
The most important guiding factor
should be love for the other person.
26. We love because he first loved us.
Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a
liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom
they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not
seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves
God must also love their brother and sister.
1 John 4:19-21
