POINTING
DESK LAMP
This lamp was made as a form study.
This form is evolved from a square a
triangle and a trapezium. It includes
an interactive switch which is a
gesture of flipping the trapezium and
placing it back.
It provides ambient lighting as well
as point light.
PROTOWEAR
WELDING MASK
Simple Product
Design
Designed for design and
engineering students who
are interested in
prototyping using tools
such as welding, cutting,
grinding etc. Provides easy
universal fit and comfort.
Also includes an air filter
that keeps harmful fumes
out.
The design process of a welding mask
was gone through, keeping in mind
materials, human anthropometry and
ease of usage.
The TIMEadapter allows you
to cut off the power after the
selected number of hours.
Just choose how long you
would like any appliance to
be switched on or charging.
TIMEADAPTER
THE
RIGHT
TORCH
This redesign of a common rechargeable
torch is done to change the position of
the hand to a more comfortable and
ergonomic posture.
This was possible by putting the beam at
a right angle to the grip, and hence the
name, the Right Torch.
THE UNIPOD
This is concept of a self-balancing unicycle which has a hybrid
powertrain of human and electric. it is a urban personal mobility
solution designed for the year 2040. The UNIpod can be used only on
electric power, or by using the pedals. It can also be used indoors as a
daily workout.
THE CONNECTED AIRCRAFT
DESIGNED FOR
HONEYWELL AEROSPACE CHALLENGE 2015
(1ST RUNNERS UP)
The mission of this challenge was to conceptualize and portray the
private aircraft of the near future and how it can be designed to make
the experience of executive flying more immersive towards the
travel and the passengers personal life.
My approach to this was a wholistic redesign of the aircraft cabin.
This design direction chosen was to be highly user-empathetic and
having an organic design language.
Multi-media zone with a
interactive 3D screen and a
personal digital work space
for the work-focussed
Cabin chair with dynamic padding for
long comfortable seated journeys
Cabin pillars and table with built-in
drink dispenser
Transparent digital panels for a single wide
window with read-outs from the flight deck
View of the surroundings through virtual
reality glasses for infotainment
PRODUCT DESIGN INTERNSHIP AT
The aim was to design and develop a range of
premium modular switches for homes and
offices. This new line of switches have added
functionality and experience for the user.
This includes all the regular modules that make
up a modular switch range with some
additional modules with modern sensors and
robust built.
Socket with easy shutter
mechanism
Switch with
touch dimmer
Regulator with
speed indicator
This module is designed
to serve as a singular
replacement for switch
boards with large
number of switches.
The knob based
selection and operation
of appliances makes it
possible to control nine
appliances individually
and also program them
into groups

DRY IRONS
‘To design a frill free dry irons
which would aesthetically appeal
to Indian working males and
females of the age group 25-40,
which will be easy to use on a
daily basis with a comfortable
handle to aid ergonomics’
Design Guidelines
Manufacturing feasibility

Enhanced ergonomics
Design direction for CRESCENT
• Thicker metal skirt
• Plastic handle with more coverage
• Pleasant aesthetics for female users
• Minimalistic styling
which blends with
metal skirt
• Wide supportive
handle for
comfortable grip
Concept-1
Crescent
Design direction for DOLPHIN

Concept-5
Shear
Design direction for AERO
• Streamlined form factor
• Floating handle with ergonomic profile
• 4 part plastic body with reduced material consumed
• Ergonomic daily use iron
• Sculpted straight
handle with a grippy
surface
• Easily viewable lamp
surrounding the knob
Concept-6
Aero
1:1 scale model The concept ‘Aero’ was chosen to be made into
a model as it incorporated a new design feature
and also to judge the ergonomic factor of the
design
A block of WPC was CNC milled to form the
basic structure and it was worked on by hand to
achieve the undercuts and final surface. Other
details were made separately and joined
After reaching the desired surface the model
received its base coat of metallic gold
The model was masked to apply paint to the
areas representing different parts and finished
with a clear coat.
Evolution of design
The tubular section connecting to the body
and handle was made intending to increase
the strength of the design and to house the
cord.
It was then made as a half pipe and iterated
to house the cord sleeve snugly.
Later the section was removed and a new
mechanism for the cord was decided and
approved which also aids ease of use.
The indication lamp was also replaced from
the top of the handle to a strip surrounding
the knob which is easily viewable, cost
effective and is a unique design feature
