● Dedicated to protecting our nation’s critical infrastructure from criminal and terrorist
attacks.
● There are 16 critical infrastructure sectors whose assets, systems, and networks –
whether physical or virtual – are considered so vital to the United States that their
incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on national security,
public health and safety.
● InfraGard National Members Alliance (INMA) was founded in 1996 as a
partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector.
● Maintains status as a nonprofit 501(c)3 Organization
● Affiliated with the FBI’s Office of Private Sector (OPS).
● 86 InfraGard Members Alliances (IMAs) representing 53,000+ individual members
nationwide; each IMA is linked to a FBI Field Office;.

8. Importance of HPH Sector...
● In 2011, Americans made 262 million visits to hospital emergency or
outpatient departments.
● At any one time, almost 50 percent of Americans require one or more
prescription medications to mitigate health issues.
● The HPH Sector constitutes approximately 15 percent of the gross national
product with roughly 85 percent of the sector’s assets privately owned and
operated.
For many Americans, even a brief disruption in HPH
services could be catastrophic.
