Rules
• This round will have 6 direct questions, one for each
team, having 3 variables each .
• The team answering the direct question will get +5
per answer. No negative marking.
• Question will not be passed.
• Other teams will be allowed to pounce on the
question within 10 seconds of reading the question.
+10 will be awarded for each correct answer, -10 for
each wrong answer.

Question 1
• X is an ancient empire that once reigned in
Essos before the Valyrians dragon lords
destroyed them.
After the Doom of Valyria, this empire re-
asserted themselves to form what is now
known as Y. The cities of Y all have Z –a
structure atop their biggest monuments. Z was
the ancient sigil of X and is frequently seen
depicted on objects, flags and buildings of the
cities.

• X is an insurgent organization operating in
Westeros first formed to protest against

The members of the organization fashion a

Question 3
• X is knight hailing from Blackhaven, sworn to
House Baratheon of Storm’s end. From King’s
landing, he travels to the riverlands on a special

to Justice.
However, his mission becomes more righteous
and religious and he goes on to form Z to serve a
bigger cause in the riverlands, before starting to
travel North for an even bigger cause.

• X was loyal to House Stark for centuries. X was a
servant to the Kings in the North before Aegon’s
conquest and through their period as wardens of the

sides. X was not with the Starks during War of the 5
kings.
Y and Z are descendants of X taken into Lannister
house since their birth.
Y on Jamie’s command goes on to surrender loyalty to
Stark sympathizers while Z continues to serve the
Lannister-Baratheon rule, changing Z’s immediate
loyalty from person to person, and finally ending at
Jamie’s side.

Question 5
• X’s house was a Baratheon bannerman but X
fought beside Rhaegar Targaryen at the
Trident against his liege lord Robert

on a journey across the narrow sea to find and
pledge his allegiance to Z.

• X is a proper noun, belonging to the Rhoynar
warrior-queen who led the Rhoynar refugees to

X is hence a popular name in Dorne. In the show ,
a Dornish character –the daughter of Y- posseses
it. Also, in the north it belonged to a character
who is a member of House Z.

Rules
• First 2 questions are travel maps. Each of them contains +5.
• Then each team will be provided with a printed copy of Map of
Westeros.
• 20 locations in the map are marked in the map in red which corresponds
to important locations from the story approximately. (Great efforts have
been made to make it as accurate as possible. It remains an approximate
representation for obvious reasons but it should serve the purpose
perfectly!)
• The teams will be asked 10 questions during this round whose answers
will be specific locations, which have to be marked/pointed in the map.
That is, answer to each question will have been written against the red
dot that represents the location in the Map.
• Each correct answer will get you +5. There is no negative marking.
• Right answers-wrong pointing or vice-versa will fetch the team no marks.

1. On seeing visions of the Doom of Valyria , a
family of Inferior Dragonlords from Valyria
relocated to this island near the continent of
Westeros. This family lived ther peacefully for
quite a few years, strengthening their position
though trade relations with westeros before a
certain Aegon, the first of its name flew with
his sister wives to Westeros, conquering it and
establishing a dynasty which lasted quite a
few centuries. Name the Island.

3. One of Jon and company’s most iconic faceoff with
the Army of the Dead takes place here. We are given a
display of one of the only few weapons that can be
used to destroy the dead for the first time. Where does
this said encounter take place?

4. Jeor Mormont, the Lord Commander of the
night’s watch led an expedition to the fist of
the first men in search of evidence of the
White walker resurgence. Though they did
find their evidence, Jeor ultimately was killed
due to a mutiny amongst his own ranks. This
mutiny obviously takes place in a very familiar
location from which it gets its name- The
Mutiny at _______. Give me the location
where the mutiny happened.

5. Though the Wall is probably the longest manmade
structure in Westeros, it is not the tallest. That honor
goes to the structure called Hightower, which was
originally built to help sailors navigate. It is one of the
most ancient manmade structures of westeros and
its history is still debated. It is located in a very old
and prosperous city and is the seat of House
Hightower. Give me the name of the city this
structure is located in.

7. This is one of the many reccuring location where
the characters stop by while travelling. This
location has seen King Robert’s son Joeffry
getting wounded by Nymeria , the direwolf. It has
seen Lady Catelyn Stark call a number of knights
to her support while capturing Tyrion Lannister.
And of course more recently Arya visits this place
for third time in the show and comes to know
how Jon Snow has been named the King of the
North. And yes obviously, Hot Pie works here.

8. This a ruined collection of towers located in The
Neck. During the war of the five kings the Ironborn
manage to capture the castle. Ramsey Bolton send
reek to negotiate with the Ironborn as Theon,
promising them safe passage if they surrender
without a fight. Even though Theon manages to
convince them to surrender, obviously they are
captured and flayed to death by the Boltons. What is
the castle/ruins that the Ironborn captured?

9. This is a seat of a lesser branch of House
Lannister. It is one of the most important ports
of Westeros and is known for its gold work.
And, Tywin Lannister’s titles included “The
Shield of ____” (referring to the above
mentioned city) along with “Lord of Casterly
Rock” and “ Warden of the West”. What is the
name of the city?

10. The House Baelish began with Petyr's great-
grandfather, who was born in Braavos and came
to the Vale as a sellsword employed by House
Corbray. His son took the head of the Titan as his
sigil when he was knighted. His arms were a grey
stone head with fiery eyes on a light green field.
The seat of House Baelish is an unnamed, old flint
tower which commands no more than a few

dozen families in huts of piled stone beside a peat
