Maritime Enforcement Specialist (ME)
Served as a cadre of professionals well-grounded in a broad range of subject areas including security,
anti-terrorism force protection, as well as traditional maritime law enforcement. Duties included carrying
out maritime law enforcement boarding's, executing advanced interdiction missions, maintaining unit law
enforcement gear, developing unit force protection plans, coordinating inter-agency operations, and
delivering small arms and unit law enforcement training. Performed multi-mission patrols; identified
safety concerns during security patrol; completed vessel boarding procedures; inspected vessels;
performed security boarding; exhibited weapons proficiency; testifies in court related issues; seizes
contraband; conducts interviews and screening; prepares written reports; enforced maritime law;
identified controlled substances; conducted maritime investigations; understands constitutional law;
interprets human behavior in threat assessment; conducted security drills and perimeter evacuations;
prepared security plans; identified threats to national security; conducted anti-terrorism training drills;
stood watch; and engaged in inter-agency law enforcement operations. Conducted briefs and vessel
searches; identified firearms related offenses; supervised and mentored subordinates; and arrested
subjects.
