MEMORANDUM FOR Hank Hayes
CEO No Lie Blades / USCAT – USA

FROM: George Dutile
Assistant Center Director/Management
SUBJECT: Edge Weapon Training of April 2003
I would like to personally thank you for your outstanding instruction in the hand-to-hand
combatives and edged weapons training session in April of 2003. The instruction and
information you provided was simple but brutally realistic and highly effective. This system
provides your students with the necessary tools to handle a wide variety of lethal or non-lethal
threat situations. I would very highly recommend your style, techniques, and training method to
any law enforcement, peace keeping, or offensive force.
Your excellent teaching ability and training format allows for easy learning and excellent
comprehension. This method translates easily to a train the trainer scenario, enabling those more
qualified students to go forward and carry on with the subsequent training of still more
personnel. Your simple but brutal techniques have reportedly been effective in saving lives
behind enemy lines during the conflict in Iraq. In fact I am personally aware of at least one
recipient of your unparalleled instruction who is alive today because of the specifically tailored
edge weapon instruction you graciously provided. His ability to work in close against fully
committed opponents willing to die for their cause on numerous occasions was due, in great
measure, to this very realistic and effective mental and physical training.
I highly recommend you and your instructional system and staff to any organization or agency
seeking highly effective, simple combatives that make force protection and mission completion
not only possible but highly probable. Your dedication to excellence, unusually high level of
motivation and complete belief in the possible rather than the acceptable is both admirable and
inspirational; and you do save lives with the work that you do. Again, I appreciate your work
and implore of you to continue to motivate and train the way you do. Good luck in all your
future ventures.
