• Developed a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) databus for application in space missions.
• The SPI designed was a de facto standard bus, with applications in control devices, communication, etc.
PAPERS/ PROJECTS
Adaptive Control Law for Spacecraft Formation Flying with Solar Radiation Pressure and Reduced Secular Drift Jan 2015
• Developed an adaptive control law for spacecraft formation flying in high eccentric orbits.
• The control law accounts for disturbances caused by solar radiation pressure while estimating the mass of satellite
and the forces due to solar radiation pressure.
• The paper also addresses the important aspect of reducing secular growth for optimizing fuel consumption.
System Identification of Simple Harmonic Oscillator Jan 2014
• Implemented the Eigensystem Realization Algorithm(ERA)/Obsever Kalman Filter Identification(OKID) algorithm.
• This algorithm was used to identify system model for a robotic arm used in Trocar insertion medical surgeries, results
were comparable with many commercially available software/toolboxes.
GPS Based Attitude Estimation Using Extended Kalman Filter Oct 2013
• Used orthogonal setup of 3 antennas for attitude determination .
• The Extended Kalman Filter’s attitude estimates were accurate to the order of 0.1 ◦
2. Design of Spacecraft Attitude Controller Jan 2013
• Designed a controller for active pitch control & passive control of roll and yaw, using two momentum wheels for a
Nano/Micro Satellite.
• Studied performance by varying parameters of the controller, the performance of system met mission requirements.
Statistical Validation of Trocar Insertion Simulation Device Jan 2013
• Analyzed the performance of the haptic device under application of varying static load on .
• Performed statistical test like the χ2
and students T-Test.
• Successfully established that the device was performing as per expectations in the 95% confidence interval region.
Generic Slung Load Transportation Using Small Size UAV’s Dec 2012
• Project was to transport a slung load using multiple small UAVs.
• Successfully designed a full state observer for tracking the motion of the load hung from the UAV’s
Cost Minimization For House Hold Space Heating Using Life Cycle Cost Analysis Dec 2012
• Integrated multi-layer insulation materials with varying air gap to optimize the heat retention system of a house.
• Performed math modeling, algorithm design & solution optimization using MATLAB simulations.
